You are sadly correct. I asked around the office last Friday what the significance was for Sat Dec 7. Many did not know, sad. My Dad and 2 uncles served in the Pacific theater so I grew up hearing about the attack. It was truly the greatest generation, they not only saved the US, they saved the planet.

The situation is sad to say the least and I feel for the kids and family but the charges were first degree homicide. Doesn't that mean pre-medataded? I am not up on law so I am not sure. I think if they had charged him with manslaughter of some kind they would have got a conviction.

A friend and I used to smoke all the time back in the day. I got married, had kids and quit and he quit due to job demands (testing). I had no problems when I stopped. We drifted apart and I saw him many years later. Something he said made me think. He was having problems with alcohol. He said," You know the wrong drug was legalized.....When I had to stop smoking pot, it was no problem. I just quit with no side effects but I struggle every day with drinking. Alcohol snuck up on me. It started with "management meetings" and escalated from there."
