According to the records $34,000,000 was spent on the airport, Since David Austin took office To date about $68,000,000 has or is slated to be spent, with other $30 million plus in the five year plan. I do agree that the western part of the county should have a fire station. I had rather believe that those folks in NYC are more concerned with the piss poor planning of this entire project than anything else, Who in their right mind would start a project without the required EA/FAA permits and the proper funding in place, they had from November 2012 to think this plan out, get the permits, and funding in place before they even started the project. OMG everyday something new comes out on the airport what is next, Heck Surepip if it was planned properly there was no need for the water tank. A proper size water pipe with a booster pump would be plenty. Or even build the water tank on the existing hill instead of grading it down for the fire station and put the fire station closer to the homes in the community for better fire protection for the home owners and they would not even have to buy the additional land. Pubby..... Shame on you, Please deal in the facts, You were at the Airport meeting in January 2014 when the Airport authority voted to reduce the FBO monthly rental by half.... Why.... Because the work that the Airport Authority had authorized on the taxi way widening had actually reduced the use of the taxi way and the runway... The interruption of the construction on the taxiway is a result of piss poor planning by the Airport authority...... It is against the rules laid out by the FAA to do what the Airport Authority has done... The courts has ruled on this already..... Remember the comment

The Board of commissioners are now considering something that they promised would never occur.... This Friday they are proposing to use tax dollars to continue the expansion at the airport. The airport/IBA board it appears started a project without funding in place and both are having a difficult time obtaining funding if Propeller funds the taxi way then it could be as soon as December 2014, The FAA has to sign off on a environmental Assessment, which could take up to another year or so to obtain Here again the PCAA started construction on projects that have not been approved/ And could quite possibly be denied... who knows?
