  1. Folks.... Listening to this video and seeing the players involved in this Public Hearing has really raised a red flag in front of me on this road project. Most of the folks speaking in this video are the same folks that are attempting to make our General Aviation Airport a regional Hub airport for the city of Atlanta. And to bring in large commercial passenger jets. This road is pretty close to the airport when it crosses 278 and will give almost direct access to I 75. from the airport...I am thinking it is time to speak up again and stop this roadway now. Do know these are some o
  2. The map that I saw has a Western by pass of Dallas beginning at seven hills boulevard and crossing 61 north below Dabbs bridge road continuing on to Highway 278 Just East of the airport and then connecting to Scoggins road. looks like the road comes very near the airport
  3. mojo413 If everyone will look at the example you posted above it will make them realize that higher taxes are coming in November and the School Board and the Fire Tax levy is not the only taxes affected, The County M&O and the Bonds will increase the taxes also if the valuations have increase on their property. Heck do the math!!!!
  4. According to information being presented at the meeting last night in Downtown Dallas, it appears that the Western By pass from Dabbs bridge road to the Airport has now been put back into the planning stages and was discussed at this meeting. As most of you will recall that was affected by this proposed road ,this was suppose to be a dead issue and was not going to be built ( remember the Town Hall Meeting held at Burnt Hickory Park ????) Well guess what........ we have some leaders in our community that do not keep their word, Time to stand up again and be counted.
  5. mojo413 I agree, Millions are being spent on projects that never have a chance at being successful but rather will always be a drain on the tax payers pocketbook. The airport and the film studio are only two of the ventures that has and will continue to cost tax payers millions in tax dollars to maintain and operate with no possibility of ever breaking even. The scary thing about this entire budget this year is the FACT that the commission has agreed to use millions out of the reserve fund to balance the budget even though revenues will be increased this year due to increased valu
  6. Hey David you need to listen to the voters the commercial passenger service is something you and your buds at the chamber dreamed up this is not the peoples agenda. Implement the priorities of the voters not your own secret pet agenda You need to walk liked you talked in 2008
  7. Pubby You are one of the best spinsters that I have ever seen, Get out of that office and go down to the local restaurants around the county and see what the folks are talking about. David frequented these places during the 2008 campaign and it was a known fact that he campaigned against two main issues of the Shearin administration … the airport, and the reservoir, in addition he was suppose to relieve Blake Swafford of his responsibilities as Airport director and his IBA responsibilities. He did neither Fact is the campaign implied in mailers that the airport was a bad idea and never s
  8. From the looks of things these flyers are going viral, comments from other web sites. http://ponytailpatriot.com/section-blog/263-the-austin-pot-after-calling-the-shearin-kettle-black&Itemid=82
  9. David took on a completed General Aviation Airport January 1 , 2009 And also assumed a position on the Airport Authority and the Industrial Building Authority on the same date. David used the campaign to highlight Jerry's failure to do what the citizens wanted in various mailers to the voters. As it relates to the reservoir and the Airport.... REMEMBER!!!!! David Failed to make the General Aviation Airport a success. The original Cost of the Airport was suppose to be $24,000,000 the cost to date has now risen to almost $ 60,000,000. David chose to go against the will of the people an
  10. Since David has started censoring the citizens that speak at the Commissioners meetings it has become apparent that he does not want citizens who were unable to attend meetings to hear what was being said. Censorship is one of the most unethical things a politician can do. Come on David play the entire video, not just what you want them to hear
  11. Yea I remember him running all over the County being very critical of Jerry building the Airport against the will of the people, heck that was one of his main arguments against Jerry. And he even spoke about it in the various eating establishments that he frequented. He spoke about being against the airport and for the reservoir. Believe it or not David Austin even made reference to the opposition to the Airport in Three different mailed out flyers Let me see If I can find the other two. A man should be as good as his word even though it is not in writing
  12. NewsJunky Does Bob Snelling support David Austin and the Airport Authority in expanding the Airport for commercial passenger service?
  13. What is amazing to me is that the City of Hiram will let a mayor who only got 98 votes last election dictate to them the airport fiasco and the Garbage pick up. Time to start attending those council meetings. next meeting is this Tuesday. SPEAK OUT City Council - Regular Session WhenTue, August 5, 6:30pm – 8:30pm Description http://ga-hiram.civicplus.com/calendar.aspx?EID=469
  14. Hey Jim...Does Bob support the expansion at the airport to provide commercial passenger service?
  15. Heck just wait until those 737's make their final approach over Hiram if the passenger service begins at the Airport, Doris Devey supports the planes coming in over Hiram
  16. I never thought the legislature would eliminate the Home Owners Tax Relief Credit either, but it has not been funded now it about four years or more. So........ You never know what this legislature might do.
  17. Sounded to me that he did not have a clear proposal,..... From my stand point I am perfectly satisfied with the state income tax like it is. Heck it is the SPLOST taxes that need to go away. Boyd Austin uses the SPLOST taxes to build sidewalks to nowhere and the city roads are full of pot holes WTH is going in in Dallas?
  18. Not class warfare Jim. .just factual information the state and Feds do not tax certain portions of the Social Security benefit presently. The so called fair tax will tax Social Security when you purchase something. I am willing to listen to you explain how this is class warfare, Please do explain..
  19. You are always spouting off about something that you know absolutely nothing about. Fact is for a large majority of social security recipients they pay no federal or state taxes on the benefits received,, The consumption tax is paid on what you spend so yes I will pay taxes on my Social Security Benefits if I spend that money And BTW no one paid Taxes on Social Security benefits until Ronald Regan Signed that into law. You are just letting your mouth spew out lies before you put your brain into gear, Of course you knew this but you had rather embellish your position with a bunch of lies.......
  20. Here was the commitments from the leaders of the county in 2004. These two gentlemen still hold the top positions on the Paulding County Airport Authority today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU-j3rNVpig
  21. Thank you Todd Pownall for standing up for the citizens in your post and the rest of Paulding County, You are a breath of fresh air to the unethical political climate in Paulding County today. The Austin boys along with Commissioner Carmichael will ruin this County if the commercial passenger is allowed to go forward.
  22. Shallow Hal we have been begging to let the citizens have a vote on this issue for almost a year now, will you help us get this issue in the Ballot this November, And let the majority of those voting make the decision?
  23. I would really like to see the business plan you speak of that details how three or four flights per day could generate the 2,500 to 3,500 new jobs that is being thrown around by our leaders, have you got a copy? Will you e-mail me a copy?
