  2. Why is it that every time I venture out of my office to a retail store or eating place that I get the grumpy cashiers / waitress / clerk?

I think that places that depend on customers should have nametags for their servers / cashiers that go something like this:

 I have no clue what I am doing here.

 I'm too tired to care what you want.

:ninja: Sorry...I don't work in this department.

    I hate my job.

    I love my job.

For like the sixth time in the last few weeks...last night I encountered a clerk who just seemed like they had absolutely no customer service training at all.

You make a mistake ringing up my merchandise (charge me 2x for the same thing) and then roll your eyes when I point it out?

And then, while we are chatting say something like "They don't pay me enough for me to like it here."

It is disheartening to see so many young people with such a crappy outlook on life.

Whatever happenned to taking a job....giving it your best...and working your butt off so you could make decent money?

Or at the very least...not letting your bad attitude affect how you treat the store's customers?

I've had lots of crappy jobs in my life.

I either looked for something better (while still doing the best job I could) or I worked harder so I could get a better job with the same company.

Is it just me that feels this way?

maybe it's yer wonky eye they're afeared of.

  3. I remember something very funny. Last year in VA Beach...They overcharged me for my son..He was only 10 at the time and it should have been a children's rate, not adults..I told them about it..And they looked at me like I was lying about his age..So I pull out his Military ID..(Gotta Love it) to prove his age...And they said he is over 5FT tall..So he must pay Adult price...I still giggle about this one  Note it was at a Chinese buffet.

my daughter is seven and she got to eat "three years and under eat free" cos they thought she was three. i had to own up and say she was seven, then it took forever for them to fix the bill. i kinda wish i had taken it as karma.

    :)

  4. How come nobody ever says anything about "that nice lady who answers the phone and all my questions and sets me up with an appointment"?

It's always...."That wonderful technician" or "That nice young man". (that one always gets me)

Glad you were pleased with the service, Jonesy. Tanks fer the tanks.
