To the person who emptied their ashtray in the parking lot
smitty replied to dawneykids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
There are [probably] a whooooollllllleeeeeee lot of people out there who just can't lose weight. They do their best to eat the crap at home that's good for you, and in small portions. And so, to maintain the empathy of their friends and family, they throw the FF sack out on the way home or on the way to work. I know-Iknow! They walk past garbage cans that are everywhere, but not using them is, IMHO, just a facet of their illness. I do, truely, empathise. Go ahead and slam me for not coddling the obese, but I've seen this with my own eyes. -
Wild potatoes are everywhere around here. Now is the time to harvest if one marked their locations before the frost. I haven't eaten one yet, but I intend to. Those white blooms with the dark (usually purple) center, on vines along fence rows and roadsides, that you've seen your whole life, are wild potatoes. The leaves are heart-shaped.

They've decided up until now and it's this privelede they're fighting to preserve under the guise of holy war.

The requirements of society (that change) probably could have given a conduit for passing gay genes in that they were expected to marry and produced children. Period. In that light, isn't it ironic that had gay marriage been allowed long before all this new genetic related technology that gay-ness would be extinct by now, and, the Christian god, in his perceived anger over us allowing such a terrible thing to go on, would have gotten the credit for its disappearance?

The arguments you were free to present in the solar road thread, compared to the lamentaions you present in this thread serve well to illustrate the tragedy of the RR's hijacking of the GoP. All the Left have to do is put Christianity at odds with Leftist agenda and then put the microphone to the RR mouths to achieve what they want. It saddens me to see intelligent people make so much sense with any other topic, but becasue of their dogma, they fall on the sword of the lord Every Single Time they "debate" their religion. It's money in the bank for the Left. I'll still be

The statement you quoted shall be revised or rescinded as the presentation of your valid arguments to the contrary are, AT LEAST, presented. Help me to see that gay marriage is a threat to what you believe. Are you thinking that if gay marriage prevails in debate in spit of Christianity's dogma, that gays will gain ascention over Christians? If that is what you fear then you probably don't realize how right you are........and that ascention will have exactly the affect on your religion as y'all make of it.

In a TECHNICAL SENSE, in the real world of science and physics, the practical usability of solar energy is so small that it has value only to those who don't have a better alternative. In a POLITICAL SENSE it has whatever value one can connive others into believing. -
You are free to present your "arguments" against gay marriage to the best of your ability, just like anyone else on P-com may do. Your "argument" I can see so far is that the other gods of the world don't like it and that your god doesn't like it. I'm just not feeling it. Unless this is all you have, please elaborate.

I'm not fighting for anything, yet. The fight comes after debate directs the sensible course of action to be taken; who to strike; when to strike. I'm still debating. It seems that you simply don't like the notion that gays may marry and you realize you have nothing to present as to a reason why except the bigotry you know won't fly, because you claim to be Christian if for no other reasons, and so, you're trying to circumvent it being recognized by inventing an affront to your religion. I'm not crazy about gay marriage myself, but, before I fight for it or against it--meaning, before I

Indeed, jumping on the bandwagon relieves us of responsibility for the consequences of where the wagon goes. It doesn't makes us immune to the consequences; just releives us of the responsibility. This relief of responsibility usually takes the verbal form, "God's Will."

OK. Help me to understand. Why does it matter that religious beliefs are trampled? Why should religious beliefs be exempt from being trampled? Whatever would explain the why would also, logically, apply to the protection of the Left's beliefs too wouldn't it? The left's religion is their politics and you and I come in here and smear the sh*tty truth all over it. Shouldn't we do that? How is gay marriage a threat to [yours or others] religion anyway? God says it's bad. OK. What part of the gay marriage movement demands the revision wellspring of enlightenment called The Bible?

With and through religion, the difference between being an enlightened wise man and a wild eyed kook is how many people believe the same. A religion's value can be measured by counting its believers. When people express contrary beliefs it is a very clear threat to one whose social status is linked to their religion. The more elequently the opposing view is presented, the more dire the threat and the more vicious the reaction. All religion has, all religion is, is its believers.

Of course you and PUBBY both know there's nothing for the Left to gain by giving you money. When truth is on ones side, one can make huge points with a line of text. When truth is not on ones side, or if one is too dull to get "it", one needs to write a page for diversion (and hoping to impress with style in the absence of substance) or write a page groping with something not comprehended......and hoping to impress with style in the absence of substance. Their motives are so transparent. Yours is but one example of what one should expect from the investment of "free" money. -

Can you cite a source for the highlight above that's independent of your profession? That's interesting in the extreme. -

IMO, when a child or anyone asks an intelligent question, they deserve an answer, no matter the age. -
No. To succeed, they either have the drive OR innate ability, or both. ...Sorry you're so bitter dude. Wow! Try the heavy duty tin foil next time. If that doesn't get them designers out of your head, try a one of those old steel pot helmets.

FWIW, I don't entirely agree. Higher education is more a process of deduction than induction. Whether one has common sense or not, the college deduction process culls the ones who don't have the drive or innate ability, or both, to succeed.

Based on what I think I know about NCLB, I agree.

Cool. I think we're on the same page.

Thanks, but that's not what I asked. Are you OK with gay couples having the same level of legal privileges that opposite sex marriages enjoy? An example of this priviledge would be the automatic and legal inheritance of the other should one die. You're OK with this or not?
-
The government sanctioned civil union would protect the gay couple's current and future interests like it does for opposite sex marriage? The way I see the core issue is that the way it is now, a gay couple can live together for 50 years and should one suddenly die (read "without a will") the deceased's kin can just walk on and inherit what should be the bereaved's to inherit. Even with a will it might be difficult for thr bereaved to keep from gold-digging kin what their "marriage" built. <----- This is my understaning of what they want--and should get. Sure there'd be some gay p

One of the Left's dirty little secrets is that they want equal results, not equal rights. The harder they work hiding this truth the more transparent they become.
-
Bullcheeze. .....Sort of. If voters could be qualified on their willingness to be guided by objectivity, I'd agree.. But, most voters are wildly subjective "thinkers" and so, their opinion of you definately affects your life by their need to affect your rights so you, and they, can go to heaven. Edit: I didn't read your last sentence before posting the above.
