CE, your saying you had to pay $255 for the costumes and recital fee combined? When we danced at Studio Dance we paid for the costumes ny DEC 1st and the recital "FEE" wasnt due until like around april it seemed like. Seems really early to pay a recital fee now, and committment isnt about when you pay the "RECIATL FEE" it is about your child being their every week. Sounds to me like a excuse for them to get more money outta you.

Now I can understand this issue, and locking the door after they are asleep for their safety, but just to make them go to sleep on their own, I do not see it.

Your right!! Perhaps they could fall out of their bedroom window, God forbid a second story window, now all of my windows are on ground level, but that gives me no excuse to lock them in their room for nap/bedtime. Ground level windows, they could excape and get in the road, or choke something in their room and you'd never know it. So many horrible things could happen when a child is locked in their room. But I do not know the situation that the OP is speaking about, so I can only speak for my children. I rock all of my babies to sleep at night, I would still be rocking my 3 y

I ABSOLUTLEY WOULD NOT DO THIS!!!! how scared a child must be to know that their parent locked them in their room. mommys and daddys are there for comfort and protection and discipline, and locking them in their room is none of these. In my opinion that is neglect. how sad for that child!
