I disagree. If you own significant amounts of land you should be able to do on it whatever you please. There are other laws to cover firing a firearm in close proximity to other residences not limited to: Reckless Endangerment, Disorderly Conduct, public nuisance ordinances such as noise violations, et cetera. While I do think some common sense and some safety precautions should be taken, I have no problem with anyone who wishes to go plinking.

If I were a juvenile lawyer and a youth had been sentenced by the court as well as punished at school, Ide recommend they sue both for violating double jeopardy since both are governmental institutions. Schools are for educating not deciding how to handle criminal matters. Now, that being said, if a youth is found with marijuana on school grounds, and is arrested, and is found delinquent on the charges and as such gains unexcused absences, and they wish to discipline the youth for that with a suspension or expulsion (in essence adding even more absence from school) that would be a different ma

Drug possession whether by a juvenile or an adult, whether on or off school grounds, is a criminal matter. Law enforcement and subsequently the courts are the ones who need to act, the schools should act according to whatever actions the courts have taken. A kid arrested for being in possession of pot and has been arrested for it is absent however long he is absent. If he is found innocent, then his absences should be excused. if not, unexcused. The court can decide whether the juvenile needs treatment.
