  1. Actually the phenomena is called "Diffusion of Responsibility" and the most notorious example was a case in the 1960's where a woman was raped and killed in front of several hundred people who did nothing. The effect is socio-psychological in nature and is more common in more metropolitan areas than rural ones. The fewer people present, the less responsibility we as human beings can subconsciously assign to others. This is why during medical, military, police, and first aid training one of the things they teach you is to point directly at a person and assign them a task...this breaks the diffu
  2. Actually I round the report on Andrew Cuomo rather enlightening.
  3. that's rather unfortunate since they cite every source of information and its rather thorough in that regard, not to mention the majority of US Governors are republicans right now so its quite plausible for there to be few democrats on the list. I urge you to at least read it BEFORE you decide its crap.
  4. http://www.citizensforethics.org/page/-/PDFs/Reports/CREW_Worst_Governors_in_America_fullreport.pdf?nocdn=1 So the CREW organization came out with its list of the most corrupt governors in the United States. Guess who was NUMBER ONE? You guessed it; our very own Nathan Deal. Go ahead, try to act surprised.
  5. Actually, Mike McCaul is the wealthiest congressman. Just thought I would share.
  6. To be fair, the right does this as well, they just don't it is with as much skill.
  7. So what you are saying is... Where have all the good men gone and where are all the gods? Where's the street-wise Hercules to fight the rising odds? Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed? Late at night you toss and you turn and you dream of what you need You need a hero, Your holding out for at hero 'till the end of the night He's gotta be strong and he's gotta be fast And he's gotta be fresh from the fight You need a hero, Your holding out for a hero 'till the morning light He's gotta be sure and it's gotta be soon And he's gotta be larger than life, larger than life
  8. If we lived in a society of majority rule then slavery would still be a thing, segregation would still be a thing, women not voting would still be a thing... I firmly maintain that often the Majority is full of morons. Barack Obama got elected twice...kind of makes my point.
  9. I think some but not all nor most of his logical is faulty.
  10. Fortunately I don't take anything spoken by someone who spent a lifetime taking heavy blows to the head and suffering brain injury very seriously.
  11. And this is why Im glad I'm a true libertarian. I can believe what I want and know that both mainstream parties are full of crap.
  12. This post makes me wonder if your rectum gets laryngitis from talking so much.
  13. By virtue of being a politician and even speaking at all on this thread anything you said was off topic.
  14. In that order: Who decides the standards of the intelligence test? That would create the same problem we have now all over again. As opposed to the millions of uninformed adults (Points frantically at executive and legislative branches as evidence) Technically at the time what Jenarlow Wilson did was a Felony. A 17 year old getting laid by a pretty girl, while certainly not without consequence is generally speaking a no brainer. Bad choice would be not using a rubber. And I redirect to my original response.
  15. Are you suggesting that you believe that I think those are the only two choices or do you suffer from Tourette's Syndrome or were you feeling left out?
  16. I see it just as often in republicans, only manifested in different ways. Theyre equally as thick.
  17. also invest in a blood glucose meter. have him check his blood sugar every couple of hours or so. see if he cant find a pattern with his behavior (namely eating and not eating) and his glucose levels. General rule is anything above 140 is a little high, anything above 200 is cause for concern. Mine was fine for years and years but when I got the diagnosis I was in the upper 500's which is terrifying in its own right. Also understand that exercise of anykind (including heavy manual labor) causes blood sugar levels to go down. moderation is a good thing there. I once went on a bike ride on the S
  18. increase his chromium intake. A turmeric and cinnamon supplement along with high fiber and omega-3 would be beneficial.
  19. The problem with that is that there is always another politician ready to replace them. I seem to recall the Romanovs being deposed and replaced with the Bolsheviks... anyway, I seem to be hungry and have a hankering for a loaf of bread now, which thankfully are not only affordable but in great supply.
  20. Daily page views per visitor are down %10.45, The sites search visits are down %20, global rank is down %3.6. That is a possibility thought not causal explanation as to why.
  21. I don't care. The people in charge of replacing her are still there and will replace her with someone just a malevolent and while my sense of shadenfreude is perfectly in tact, it would only serve as a distraction to the larger problem.
  22. "Nobody's life liberty or property are safe while congress is in session." - Samuel Clemens Sometimes the best thing to do IS nothing. Gives society a chance to find its equilibrium and see what problems REALLY are problems. Unfortunately politicians are so concerned with getting elected and having that office they don't care about that. First I will answer your question: Its none of you or your fellow politicians business how or where I get my information and if I were to make your kind aware you would try to exploit it, which leads me back to my letter... the last part... t
  23. I literally just mentioned parents. I ARE TEH SMARTEREST!!!! BOW BEFORE MY AWESOME BRAIN MUSCLE!!!
  24. The problem is not the video games. The problem is the parents who do not monitor their children. This argument would be akin to "Porn causes deviancy in children" The issue wouldn't be "Porn is bad" the issue would be "How are they getting porn?!"
