  1. Well I would tell, in fact i did a couple of days ago, but POOOF.... It's mysteriously gone... Let's just say a certain home daycare had an incident in public. It was reported, and there is NO record of this "Home Of Distinction" with the state of Georgia. Lies. A bunch of LIES.....
  2. Another one of your commerce members is in for a rude awakening soon also... just sayin'
  3. While sometimes there is a legitimate medical reason for this behavior, I believe, more times than not, it's a learned behavior.
  4. There has always, and will always be pros and cons of "co-sleeping". I happen to believe that everyone needs their own space and time to be alone. I think most of the time it cause more problems than it fixes. But, some people love it. I think mostly it's for younger children than we are talking about here though....
  5. That really sounds like it could be the problem. Maybe you could take him something over there he could work on, like a craft or video game or something. (you could even get one of those workbooks for kindergarten or 1st grade at Walmart,(tell him he is doing homework.. they love that!!) It wouldn't get his energy out, but might occupy him so he doesn't want to fall asleep. Could you take him to the park or swimming when you get home? I know, you must be exhausted... but it may help. I can't imagine how hard it must be to be a single mom. You are doing great!
  6. I know, but you can't let him know it's getting to you. Just go to the stairs, pick him up, place him back in bed and walk away. Then repeat, repeat, repeat......... until you wear him out. You have to be stronger than him. He will see there is no point in getting out of bed cause you are just going to put him right back in bed. Ignore the screams. I know... hard to do. (I will say, I have actually gone into my room , closed my door, gone into my bathroom, closed the door and turned on the shower to drowned out he sound of screaming) Wake him up really early and make sure he doesn't get a nap.
  7. I know it is so very hard, but after the second time putting him into bed, if you don't speak to him or try to explain things, it really does seem to work better. I know it seems cruel to us and against our "mommy nature" but I promise, it does work. The first time he gets up, go in, kiss him tell him "It's bedtime" and walk out the next and following times you just go in, lay him down and walk out. If you talk, you are really starting all over. He has to know that you are not going to give in. It may take over and over, for a long time, but it WILL work. Every night will get easier. I p
  8. Really? I must be a horrible mother.
  9. I wouldn't think it would matter to anyone if that is told. All that matters is that she is found and found soon. ANY information that can be helpful should be told.
  10. This is the first I've heard of this also, How did you hear? What happened??????
  11. no. Although it wouldn't be a bad idea. Might cut down on all those "perma-yard sales" going on in the county.
  12. My son went through this phase also when he was about 6. He had a horrible fear of fires, and pottys. I know weird. He wouldn't flush a potty, he was afraid it would overflow. (there was a "Rugrats" episode where the potty overflowed and filled up the room) Not sure where the fire thing came from.... It took awhile, but he got through it. I think it's the age.
  13. He's not having naps during the day is he? Maybe if he is , he is just not ready for bed. Ever watch "Super Nanny"? Follow her technique... Here it is straight off her website.... http://www.supernanny.com/Advice/-/Superna...me-routine.aspx stay in bed technique... http://www.supernanny.com/Advice/-/Superna...-technique.aspx Good luck!
  14. ok doing it right now! Thanks so much!
  15. Yes, it is running, we feel the air coming through the vents, it just never gets cool. It's warm air. It's turned off now though.
  16. We let it thaw overnight Indoor blower? I don't know what you mean?
  17. Ok, our air has been blowing warm air for 2 days. It's now burning up in here. The house is only 3 years old. The outside unit looks and sounds fine. Under the house (where the filter is) the vent is completely frozen. We have turned off the unit, and it thaws only to have it refreeze right away. We did just notice a crimp in the drainage line and fixed that, could that have been the problem? Help! I'm hot and miserable!!!
  18. Missed one...... The distance ones always throw me!!! 500 ft... 300 ft... I don't know
  19. We go through there all the time on the way to Weiss. It is a cute little town. We saw them setting up for the parade also, we must have been going through there about the same time!
  20. What they said. Bring your lunch. I have a workshop at Matthews in a couple of weeks.
  21. I agree. I have lived almost everywhere. Nothing beats here. I love me some GEORGIA!
