yeah, he said the usual about your child would go home on normal mode of transportation unless other arrangements have been made... etc... Said everyone would get another call in case schools close early. I do think they were lax the other week and the snow caught them off guard. It was a close call and they are lucky no one was hurt. That being said, I'm not really thinking much will come of this, so I'm just glad it's not me having to make these kinds of decisions for hundreds of kids!!!

I think their judgments were clouded by the thought of making up the day, and they did not have the safety of the children as their #1 priority. They got lucky, if the schools got out a few minutes later, or the snow started just a few minutes earlier, it would have been a bad situation.

Don't you love it?? It is the single reason I am on here very rarely these days.. My husband leaves this house every morning to SERVE and PROTECT these idiots that bash him. He risks his life everyday for them. Don't get me started.....

There are a lot of roads in south/west paulding still very icy...... I , for one am GLAD our schools are cautious. I think it is very sad that parents (who , I would guess, would rather be doing other things besides taking care of THEIR children) are upset their kids are out of school, when clearly, it would have been dangerous to send them. We all have things we need to get done, but... well, they are your kids. Sorry.
