  1. I promise you if the shooter killed himself and saved everyone the trouble of a trial, s/he wouldn't be a blip on the radar.
  2. The issue is settled. The killer is dead so there is no concern that he will not stand trial or be unjustly acquitted by a jury of his peers. It is of no solace to the victims but whatever justice they could receive has been dispensed. It didn't cost a trial, years of incarceration, appeals, etc. It would seem to me that you are unsatisfied because he took his own life. This wasn't good enough for you. You seem to have some unresolved desire for "additional" justice. If that is the case, how would you propose this be accomplished to bring the matter to satisfaction?
  3. Sitting in Judge #TonnySBeavers' court last Wednesday, a mother had just lost custody of her 14 year old. Through out the proceedings Judge Beavers seldom looked up [to see the father repeatedly mocking and grinning at the mother]. The Chief Judge seemed to be reading and thumbing through other paperwork involving not this case but other cases that he was trying to bring to a close that day. If this was in fact what he was doing, is Judge #TonnyBeavers delivering the message that the family's proceedings before him were not important enough to warrant his undivided attention? The parents h
  4. Teaching begins at home. The school doesn't make the student, the student makes the school. Having said that, I had 1 daughter graduate from Hiram ('07) and 2 from SPHS ('10,'13). I was more impressed with Hiram's ability to prepare them for college. The one who went to Hiram was always an underachiever but she seemed to be the most prepared for college. The youngest attends SPHS and I set her schedule with AP and Honors courses. I think she is underachieving and needs additional help. Somehow she struggles for much of the semester and then pulls a grade out of her hat. I don't think that i
  5. The withholding of information for this length of time is disconcerting. I'm eager to know the details justifying the use of deadly force.
  6. This is Matthew Cooke's take on Race Baiting 101. 30% of America is made up of minorities that make up 60% of the prison population. What are contributing factors? Is social mobility reality or a myth? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLgIIjnpZyU
  7. She was a grandmother killed in front of her grandchild and daughter. This is a sad story but given Douglas County's history, a conviction is going to be hard to achieve.
  8. Fred Tokars succeeded in having his ex killed and he is still in prison. He didn't retain custody.
  9. If you keep reading them, how is it that anyone is talking to themselves? The tree fell in the forest and you were there to hear it.
  10. Forgot to mention, on the same day that the meme below happened, the ex-wife of the guy who killed his then current wife was denied a protective order by Judge #TonnyBeavers. May be if the ex-wife perjured herself, pleaded the Fifth and had improper ex parte communication, Chief Judge Tonny Beavers would have given her the protective order that day.
  11. Murder for hire? Nothing a little probation can't fix. I'm not sure a father that did this would be found fit to retain custody of their daughter with the mother making child support payments to help pay for the next attempt on her life.
  12. This is why there should be no code of silence in law enforcement. If the "good" cops don't reveal the "bad" cops, how good are they really? If you see something and don't say anything you are just as guilty.
  13. You've admitted twice that what the officer did was a crime. I'm stunned that you made such an admission even though the officer was cleared and is back on the job. This may be a first for you, EZ. The kid was ordered to lay down next to the roadway, putting him in harm's way. It seems to me the officer was intent on escalating the situation no matter what the kid did. I can't say one way or the other if the kid would still be alive. I do think anytime an incident results in a death, especially by firearms, the officer should be drug tested.
  14. This is what minorities mean when it is said there are two (or more) justice systems in America. The experience with law enforcement is very different. Anyone who is tired of hearing about it should do more to reduce the disparity of law.
  15. I suppose that is a lesson to others because the kid was executed for flashing his lights at a cop that knew his patrol vehicle was an issue due to being notified by other drivers.
  16. Does law enforcement have carte blanche over our lives? Are they judge, jury and executioner? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leAhcF8tDqg&feature=youtu.be
  17. Quite interesting that a child that is old enough to be subjected to adultification (making adult decisons) is suddenly not "adult" enough to testify. Or is one parent just using the child as a human shield when she says "it's the child's decision not to have contact with you AND her older sisters"? (Includes her closest sister, all by the same mom.) Why would anyone feel comfortable doing this... #OnBeaversWatch? Is there a visible pattern of conduct? Was this an attempt to modify THIS COURT's existing order under appeal at the time?
  18. When it comes to being disingenuous in court, where are the boundaries drawn? If someone will lie in court and or allow someone else to mislead the court, what does that say? "Anyone who doesn't take truth seriously in small matters cannot be trusted in large ones either." - Albert Einstein https://www.scribd.com/doc/263855864/Motion-to-Set-Aside-Amended-3 http://paulding.com/forum/topic/316043-is-this-improper-ex-parte-communication-between-chief-judge-tonny-s-beavers/
  19. I had a long response to this and I lost it, lol. Long story short... Your criticism is well taken. I require patience and self-reflection. I can't expect everyone to see what I once could not see and did not care to see myself. To appear vengeful knowing what I know and haven't shared publicly, is scary. As far as Goldie Hawn, even as adults, her children reflect the red flags of attachment based parental alienation. Withholding children from visitation is as abusive to them as withholding needed child support. I chose not to go into detail because the conversation was immediately pol
  20. Sometimes I speak with a sarcasm that you don't understand because you don't know me. It's easy to lose context in translation because written words sometimes lack expression. I don't have a problem with gay marriage. If anything I have a problem with marriage in general because of all of the corruption if it doesn't work out. I don't have a problem with LGBTs at all. Never have and never will.
  21. Conditioned by the media I guess. I've agreed with LGBT rights ALL of my life. BTW, I don't think being LGBT is a choice either. You are born as you are and biochemically your body may be subject to changes over your lifetime. Some animals can do it so why not people?
  22. More money passes through family court than all other courts combined. If you get nothing from my posts why open them and take the time to comment? Generally when I see something that doesn't appeal to me I move on. It's that simple.
  23. I absolutely agree. I don't take joy in relationship failures either. I take even less joy in a corrupt system that takes advantage of people at a low point in their lives. "What you have is a tinderbox and the lawyers are throwing gasoline on that fire." "Follow the money." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfRDZ4iOnSo
  24. I warned ya- You heard it first, here on PCom. Well, may be you didn't... But lawyers are salivating as gay divorce is in the arena. It may be about gay love for gay people but it's about gay money for lawyers. Pass the popcorn.
