  1. Seemed like a fairly direct question. Can't seem to get a straight answer. Apparently, I have to rephrase the question. She only replies once a day with an elusive answer? Is she dancing around the question? This isn't the first time this has happened to me at the courthouse. Seems to me her reply was for me to search through all of the filings and find rule nisis to find special set hearings. Is that how the judge does it? May be I'm misunderstanding? Surely, the judge's secretary wouldn't be stonewalling? Here's an interesting article... Does it apply? The Five Levels of Pass
  2. We had a similar bill here in Georgia and the judges lobbied the legislature to block it, behind the scenes. We will be bringing our version of the bill back.
  3. Both parties are run by millionaires or billionaires, does that create a disconnect with the middle class? If you aren't a millionaire when you enter congress, you have to work pretty hard at not being one when you leave congress or shortly thereafter.
  4. And it never will be but you can't give up because of it. History would look decidedly different if we just let the morally bankrupt run the world.
  5. Just to add, who profits when a "deadbroke dad" has to bond out due to an inability, NOT an unwillingness, to pay child support? Who profits when you spend $30,000/inmate/yr to incarcerate "deadbroke parents" who owe $5,000? When stings are run and net only $39,000 and another $25,000 in Title IV-D but the cost of the sting and the cost of incarceration is exponentially more than the money that will ever be recouped? The prison lobby and the bail bond industry are very thankful for public ignorance and indifference.
  6. There are several studies with varying approaches in existence already, this being one that promotes shared parenting. Frequently these studies are buried in peer reviews and getting them released is a painful process. It seems there are many legal and mental health professionals who profit from stifling the public's awareness. With the information that is already available, having to provide additional proof is as insulting as having to require more studies to prove smoking is bad for your health or that man is a catalyst or accelerant for global warming. It may require that I pursue a do
  7. This article sums up Judge Beavers' growing disconnect with reality and society as a whole. Times have changed but Judge Beavers' has not adapted to these changes. In a world where fewer than 50% of children live in traditional families, is Judge Beavers' 20th century logic antiquated? Judge Beavers' court is toxic to children of high conflict families.
  8. As your article points out, fewer people are marrying and just live together. Children are still being caught in the cross hairs of breakups. Numbers trending against marriage doesn't necessarily mean the state of marriage has improved. Adding breakups of long term relationships is a formality. Record share of Americans have never married. For the first time, more American adults are single than married. Fewer than half of US kids live in traditional families.
  9. What some may not find interesting, no less has an affect on society. Many people are not interested in politics but politics are always interested in those same people. With nearly 60% of marriages ending in divorce and better than 60% of Superior Court cases involving family law, it would be foolish to be uninterested in the goings on that affect child development.
  10. Lincoln Chafee and Jim Jefferies come to mind.
  11. In the rapidly advancing technological world we have today, gene splicing embryos, farming body parts and cloning individuals, an understanding of science is very important.
  12. With all of the shenanigans that happened in Florida that year. It's easy to see the SCOTUS indirectly selected the President.
  13. They ruled that having different counting standards in different counties violated equal protection. They also said their decision should not be considered precedent
  14. What if we have Bush-Gore II and it goes to the Supreme Court to decide again?
  15. Insightful and a very good read by Jason Hofer on why bystander apathy is so prevalent when it comes to pathogenic parenting. ******************************************************** "I had a small epiphany while speaking with our CAS worker the other day... At any rate, I casually mentioned something about how there's not much that can be done until psychological abuse can be identified. A little bit later she gave the standard attempt at comfort "she'll eventually start to see it. She'll come around. She's smart." You know the lines. Then it dawned on me. That's the universal d
  16. All the more reason to have a trial. To bring all of the facts to light.
  17. I might add that though I was given AN AUDIO file by the Paulding court reporter, I'm not certain it was complete or not. I haven't finished my review of it.
  18. Does Douglas County Judge Emerson have a problem with transparency? What good reason would a judge have to allow audio transcripts to be kept from the public? I presented the same argument to a Paulding County court reporter and she elected not to fight me in court over the audio transcripts. 19. It's not often that judicial seats are not appointed or held by an incumbent. This makes things very interesting in Cobb.
  20. It took nearly a year but it looks like the DA thinks he has a case. I guess this will be a test of the "ham sandwich theory". What the DA presents and how it is perceived by the grand jury should be cut and dry.
  21. Time and again the judicial branch proves itself just as corrupt as the other branches of government.
  22. This is topic generated a lot of interest on fb, I thought I'd see if anyone was willing to share an opinion here. Opposite gender or not, when should co-sleeping be considered abuse or inappropriate? Or is too much made of it?
  23. I've found peace. I think we both know where people who don't find peace end up. You haven't answered the question... It's a legitimate question and you dodged it. It's easy to come to the place you are when you see your kids everyday or even at all. Try being obstructed from any contact for years or even decades and tell me that is healthy for a child.
  24. Nicely said all truth and honesty. "Success is always the best revenge". Could you have so easily come to this conclusion if you were not allowed to see your child for 3 years and counting, though you have no criminal record or history of violence? This is the plight of many. You get to see your kids. What if someone took your child away for 15 years based on false allegations? Years later you pass a lie detector test and the other parent fails (+8 vs -6, you need a +2 to pass and a -4 to fail). Would you just walk away and not fight, because you can't afford a lawyer to fight for your k
  25. "We mistakenly believe that forgiveness is essential in life but I think that this is not always possible or necessary. What is necessary is the ability to let go. When someone has harmed or betrayed us their actions may not be forgivable, but we can release our anger and pain after we’ve acknowledged the validity of our experience. Forcing ourselves to forgive when we can’t (and shouldn’t) only causes us further pain." - See more at: http://marciasirotamd.com/ruthless-compassion-action/what-is-ruthless-compassion#sthash.mZqAzQ9a.dpuf Most anything that falls in the range of normal is
