Being an incumbent on a school board that raised acreditation while cutting the budget during an economic crash with increased student enrollment and reduced tax revenue WITHOUT raising the millage rate or cutting services is the pinnacle of campaign talking points. Theresa knows far more about the budget and how it's been utilized over the past 8 years than her opponent. I don't know where you are getting your information. The "new comer" couldn't quote a single correct number. Don't fall for a sales pitch. Especially from a candidate with no work ethic and a terrible record of actual accomplishments.
I stated this on different post. Georgia's education system ranks from 14th to 34th in the nation depending on the source. The reason it ranks so high on some polls are the private schools in NE Atlanta/Gwinnett and Cobb that raise the rest of the pitiful guberment schools averages. On a public school poll we are very near the bottom. Out of every source I have checked, probably 10-15, Paulding County schools do not rate in the top 100 in the State. Grady HS, listen close, Grady HS, where they hire extra COA Police for a football game/event to control gang violence, ranks around 80th in the state. 'Nuff said. Not confident in any incumbent. Don't tell me about school tax Skippy I pay out the wazoo with little results and no kids in the system. VOTE NO ON SPLOST RENEWAL. VOTE OUT ALL INCUMBENTS.

Being an incumbent on PC school board is not what I call a great talking point for a campaign. I sure hope an incumbent would know more about the budget than a new comer having been involve with it for eight years. JMO.

Voted today so they are wasting paper on me.

Yes. The topics were political and were moved to the Political Forum.
Floyd
I will accept that as an explanation. I never go to the other forums. I do not recall the posts being overly political, no more so than any of the others on here, but at least you responded. The one I started today was about Cruz but I see that much more as current events that just happens to be involving a political candidate. By the way Floyd I need a trim this Friday I am going to the church social in Siler City.

Why have the last three topics I started disappeared from the board? Should I be expecting brown shirts at my door?

I knew Louise for close to forty years she was a real sweet lady. I hope her and Crafton, Sr. are finally reunited. They were both good people and always treated me like family. God Bless and RIP sweet lady.

I pray God sends his comforting angels to surround your family in this time of sorrow.

Knew Calvin from the GreyStone BOD. Very nice man. May God send his comforting angels to the family.

If they peep in my window they will be peeping down the barrel of a .223 complete with 30 little packages of joy at the other end. Black, white, green, male, female, young or old. Don't say old Stonewall discriminates. Seriously Punky I think you just argue to argue no one is that liberal or stupid by accident.

Another evil corporation cutting costs and passing it on to the consumer. Gary runs a pretty good co-op over there. They cut these costs while adding jobs not cutting them. Their rates are some of the lowest in the state. Their linemen have won several world lineman championships in Kansas City. Eventually they will build a new headquarters in Paulding County adding to our tax base. Pretty good outfit overall.

Mr. Carter is the only POTUS I have personally met. He was a very outgoing friendly man at that time. I probably do not agree with many if any of his political views. I think he is a very good person at heart and means well even if he is somewhat naïve on some issues. I understand his family history and age concerning his diagnosis is not promising. However never count the peanut farmer from Plains out...ask the media and GOP about 1976. And yes Cancer Sucks!

That is because it doesn't.

He was a tremendously talented athlete in his time and I guess a pretty good dude. RIP big guy.

I worked with Danny in 2001-2002 at Plant Bowen as well as being friends with his son for many years. He was a good man with a good sense of humor. He was a devoted husband and father as well as a hard worker and good provider. He will be missed by me and many others. RIP Danny.

Yes there will be more blood shed. These 1%er clubs fight all the time over turf. Don't be surprised if Local 81 (Hells Angels) gets involved or was involved in the original event at Waco. The Bandidos are all aligned with the Outlaws (the predominant 1%ers in Georgia), Mongols, Vagos and Pagans among others. All are sworn enemies of Local 81. I don't really know much about the Cosacks that were involved at Waco, but I think they are regional to Texas and the surrounding areas. Someone on this site mentioned possibly seeing black members in the carnage at Waco. I know of no black 1%ers. There are Hispanics in the groups aligned with the Bandidos but no blacks I have ever heard of. There are probably Hispanics in Local 81 but definitely no blacks. Local 81 is aligned with the Aryan Nation and that would not be acceptable.

Samuel Clemens was one of the greatest writers in American History as well as a first class humorist and orator. No list of the greatest American authors can be complete without Mark Twain. In no particular order I put him with Hemingway, Salinger, Capote, Mitchell, Harper Lee, etc. When ever some one ask me about a good classic novel to read I always include "Life on the Mississippi".

Maybe it was called something different then but it was in the same place and had plastic plates, like I said I only went twice and it was ok but not on the top of my list. JMO.
-
I have eaten there twice. Food pretty good but overpriced for meat and three. Do they still use plastic plates? I thought that was a little tacky and would like regular plates and utensils if I am going to pay a premium over other meat and threes. All this may have changed since I went there and I don't have anything against them this is just my observation from several years ago.

Just watched the last hour and a half of the meeting. Very interesting.

There was a jet fighter (only caught a glimpse once possibly F-18) hot rodding around Hulseytown yesterday literally rattling the windows and terrifying the livestock. Stupid jackasses can take the freaking airport and shove it. I'm glad the elitist of the county think it is so valuable to the citizens. Why don't they move they tails over here by it if they love it so much. We never wanted or needed the stupid thing around here. Where are all the jobs and support businesses promised to spring up around the "Atlanta West Airport". Political, elitist BS.
