    Finally..

And I'm LOVE'N IT! First good night's sleep I've had in months. Too bad, Karen said this wasn't gonna last, but it'll be back. I'm headed to the pond in just a few minutes to enjoy it the best way I know how.

    Finally..

As long as it's cool I like it. If you see me in anything but shorts, it's below 30 degs. and the wind is blowing over 10 mph. Kind of funny, the heat never bothered me, till I got married and HAD to buy a house with A/C. Now my A/C is never cut off, till the temps get below 60 degs. and I can open the windows.

    Finally..

Well if Glenn and his cohorts ain't lying, it looks like I finally get to open my windows tonight and get some much needed fresh air into this cave. Still not done with my "spring cleaning", got a little side tracked last week, but this should be all it takes to get me back at it....if I can stay off the pond now that it'll be cool enough to fish and enjoy it. No sweat, no bugs,NO worries. Now that I think of it, the pond does seam to be calling my name, for the a.m. that is.
  4. Not sure if he's still in business, but Ronnie Dunn in Powder Springs made mine. I think the company name is Dunn Rite Aluminum. It's been a long time. I was close. I went back and checked. It's R.D.Dunn Aluminum. 770-943-5589, rddunnaluminum.com. Hope this helps.
  5. Just leave it up. Soooooo much easier, unless you have indoor cats that is.
  6. Sinigang soup... Southern Style. 3 leg quarters, 1 head white cabbage chopped large, 1 lg. Vidallia onion chopped large, 1 lb. small green beans whole, 4 Irish taters chunked, 3 quarts water ( add more as needed) 3 ounces tamarind. Biol till cabbage is tender. I eat with rice, but the ol' lady goes all Southern and has homemade corn bread. Better in the winter, but I just had a taste for sour soup. It's great with fish, shrimp. or even pork, but the closest she gets to sea food is fried catfish, which is on the menu tomorrow. Nice recipe for your soup surepip. I'll have to add that to my book

    My Bad...

Thanks for the help pubby, looks like you already fixed it. Mission accomplished.
  8. Thanks to the good folks here on p.com, the folder is now in the hands of the right folks. I delivered it to Dallas just before noon today. I knew this place was good for more than just nit pick'n and grabass'n. Thank again for all of the help and suggestions. Mission accomplished. Now I get to wait and see what happens next, cause no good deed ever goes unpunished.
  9. Thanks, if this post and the links that I've already gotten don't pan out that's what I'll do.

    My Bad...

Sorry folks, I just caught my boo boo. These kind of things happen. I still type with only my index fingers and can mess up every so often. The name on the folder is "Craton" not Cranton. One can edit every thing on here but headers, oh well, I hope this helps, I just want to get this to some one that it means something to.
  11. My step Grand Dad's little brother still lives in that area, I hope. If this comes to nothing, I'll try to hunt him down. But I'll give this a good shot first.
  12. Thanks, I wish that I'd tried sooner, but the last time that i dug this up was in the 90's. As I've proven, I'm WAY behind the times. I was just think'n that some one from that family would be on here and see this post.
  13. I don't do space book, my face, or twittel. This is as close as I get to that kind of media. I still use a flip phone that will not text. Thanks for the in put, I just can't use it.
  14. Yeah, I spring clean at the wrong time of the year, but when I clean... I CLEAN! O.K., to what I came here to talk about. Some thing that I've passed over for years but, now have the where with all ( the internet) to ask about. I found a orange folder marked "The Craton Family 1780 - 1967". I've dug it up several times, just never thought to ask. My step Grand Father was a Gurley, and they are mentioned in the folder, so I recon that's how I came by this. There are minutes from Mount Olivet Church typed in by Jean (daughter of Reverand Phillip Craton) dated May 9 1859 - Feb. 1 1868. If any
  15. I miss Hiram too, but I ain't gone no where, it has.
  16. Don't let any one scare you about "not eat'n" fish out of WP. There as good or better than any others in the state.
  17. This gas shortage brought to you by......The Lame Stream Media! That pipe line had been leaking for over two months and shut down for several weeks before some one "leaked" it to WSB. Every thing was fine and dandy until they broke the news. Didn't any one learn any thing from the last time they pulled this? 90% of stored fuel is in...... the tanks of YOUR CARS! The media is running like Chicken Little "Were out of gas, quick run to the stores and fill up before it all gone!" , then, poof, there ain't no more and they've got two weeks of story lines. There was no shortage until the media got a
  18. A friend of my father's before any of us kids were born, even before they worked at the cabinet shop together. No matter when or where I ran into him, he always had time to talk. This community is gonna miss a man like Mr. Hardy, men like him are few and far between. I've never used the phrase "A pillar of the community" to describe any one man before, but in this case it truly fits. This county wouldn't be what it is today with out him. At least He's at peace now.
  19. Careful, it could be habit forming.
  20. If you go out Hurt Rd. to Austell Rd, take a left and it's on the right just past Martin's. It's 10 - 12 miles from the Cobb / Paulding line and Hwy. #360.
  21. The only thing that I can think of that would make it any better, would be if it were in Hiram. LOL!
  22. Yeah surepip, I think if one was to dig deep enough, I'd find that those folks own / operate all or most of the international markets in Ga. But you just can't beat the selection or most of the prices. I used to go to Bufford once or twice a year, then found the one in Smyrna and went once a month to stock up. Now with this one so close (20 miles round trip) I'll still make my monthly trip, but I'll be checking in more often to see what's special.
