And I'm LOVE'N IT! First good night's sleep I've had in months. Too bad, Karen said this wasn't gonna last, but it'll be back. I'm headed to the pond in just a few minutes to enjoy it the best way I know how.

As long as it's cool I like it. If you see me in anything but shorts, it's below 30 degs. and the wind is blowing over 10 mph. Kind of funny, the heat never bothered me, till I got married and HAD to buy a house with A/C. Now my A/C is never cut off, till the temps get below 60 degs. and I can open the windows.

Well if Glenn and his cohorts ain't lying, it looks like I finally get to open my windows tonight and get some much needed fresh air into this cave. Still not done with my "spring cleaning", got a little side tracked last week, but this should be all it takes to get me back at it....if I can stay off the pond now that it'll be cool enough to fish and enjoy it. No sweat, no bugs,NO worries. Now that I think of it, the pond does seam to be calling my name, for the a.m. that is.

Sinigang soup... Southern Style. 3 leg quarters, 1 head white cabbage chopped large, 1 lg. Vidallia onion chopped large, 1 lb. small green beans whole, 4 Irish taters chunked, 3 quarts water ( add more as needed) 3 ounces tamarind. Biol till cabbage is tender. I eat with rice, but the ol' lady goes all Southern and has homemade corn bread. Better in the winter, but I just had a taste for sour soup. It's great with fish, shrimp. or even pork, but the closest she gets to sea food is fried catfish, which is on the menu tomorrow. Nice recipe for your soup surepip. I'll have to add that to my book

Thanks to the good folks here on p.com, the folder is now in the hands of the right folks. I delivered it to Dallas just before noon today. I knew this place was good for more than just nit pick'n and grabass'n. Thank again for all of the help and suggestions. Mission accomplished. Sorry folks, I just caught my boo boo. These kind of things happen. I still type with only my index fingers and can mess up every so often. The name on the folder is "Craton" not Cranton. One can edit every thing on here but headers, oh well, I hope this helps, I just want to get this to some one that it means something to.

A friend of my father's before any of us kids were born, even before they worked at the cabinet shop together. No matter when or where I ran into him, he always had time to talk. This community is gonna miss a man like Mr. Hardy, men like him are few and far between. I've never used the phrase "A pillar of the community" to describe any one man before, but in this case it truly fits. This county wouldn't be what it is today with out him. Yeah surepip, I think if one was to dig deep enough, I'd find that those folks own / operate all or most of the international markets in Ga. But you just can't beat the selection or most of the prices. I used to go to Bufford once or twice a year, then found the one in Smyrna and went once a month to stock up. Now with this one so close (20 miles round trip) I'll still make my monthly trip, but I'll be checking in more often to see what's special.
