I Can't Wait to See the prices of Insurance
tundra replied to tuscanytrailer's topic in RECENT TOPICS
That's complete BS, with a $10,000 out of pocket limit she won't be getting it any cheaper. Everyone keeps ignoring that "out of pocket" stuff. So she's paying $12,000 now but will be paying more under ACA. How affordable is that?? Not to be condescending but do you know what out of pocket and co-pays are?? Last year when I was so sick, I was given the choice to have tests run without submitting them to the insurance company. If I submitted just one CT scan it would cost $2400.00 for the insurance company, if I paid upfront without any insurance it was $923.00..........I had a $ -

Try this link, and yes 30 million+ will still be uninsured. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/06/07/obamacare-leaves-millions-uninsured-heres-who-they-are/ -
Who do you think is going to pay for this?? The working middle class, it's a tax based on earned income........not on dividends, not on interest earned, not on investment income, earned income. Earned income is only defined by those people that actually work. If you don't have a job, you don't pay anything toward the tax. I'm sorry you don't understand where the money is going to come from to pay for this. I guess you think the money fairy will be delivering it to the White House.

Yes, you are correct. It is an entitlement just as you are entitled to withdraw your savings and 401Ks, I mistyped, it's your money. Sorry I didn't give you that warning. -
Great Smoky Mountains National Park is CLOSED
tundra replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
They are closing the parks and using them as a pawn, it is what it is. It's a political move to upset the everyday folks. It's not the first time, nor will it be the last. The parks should remain open and the White House Chefs need to go home, along with the other 460+ folks that work at the white house. They would have the money to pay the park rangers and then some. -
Are you sure?? Do you think the right is a little concerned about the cost and lack of proper care this bill provides?? Perhaps the right understands it will be a huge drain on the Middle Class, the workers, the people that are already struggling?? Perhaps the left just wants it done, no matter the cost or burden on the American Middle Class, after all they are doing so well in this economy. Why not just give them another TAX to pay??

Yes, we pay for medicare and our employer pays the other half. Only working people with EARNED INCOME pay this tax. The federal government collects and manages (cough, cough) it. It's not a handout or an entitlement, it's a TAX that we have to pay. Just like Obamacare is. -

Fear mongering is a great tool the government uses to control the people. It works on some and there's actually a name for it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_Monument_Syndrome -
Great Smoky Mountains National Park is CLOSED
tundra replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Why is it not realistic?? Don't the People own the park? Why are you allowing the government to keep you out of a park you pay for?? A park that could not exist without taxpayer money? -
Everything is negotiable unless you "claim" it's not.

No one seems to be concerned about the out of pocket expenses. This is on top of the copays and premiums. 10,000+ premium+copays out of pocket before they pay a dime. Yes, this is so affordable. -
Yea, see the Dems idea of negotiation is do it our way or no way. That works so well. What a ridiculous analogy. Give us what we want or you get NOTHING!! That is a crime, not a negotiation.

Keep in mind these "prices" are not exact, they are not ready and they have said as much. Until they know for sure how many people will apply or use the "insurance", they can't tell you how much it will cost. http://kaiserfamilyf...013/01/8303.pdf -
See you don't get to choose, he does.

The community organizer is still doing a great job. He's lining up the American people on sides. He's pitting us against each other to achieve his ultimate goals. To bring America to it's knees. He vowed to "fundamentally change America", he's succeeding. With that said, thank God there are still a few hold outs that went to DC in 2010 and are adamant about doing the job they were elected to do. Keep this in mind, the poor will continue to get free insurance, they already had it. The rich can afford what ever plan they want. Congress has a cadillac plan, where does congress g

I don't either, I guess I shouldn't have repeated what I "heard" but it wasn't from just one person.

I know and many of the lots aren't very level. Anyway, that's how it was told to me. I'm just answering the OPs questions about that North Eastern Corridor and the "snobs" as I understand it. I have lots of friends that live in Bentwater, Seven Hills and Senator's Ridge, good people.
-
This has nothing to do with the Civil War or Yankees vs Southerners. That Northeastern corridor is filled with a bunch of people that moved here from Cobb because the taxes were so much cheaper. There are some nice big houses up that way and when they moved in they realized lower taxes meant different services. Some felt they deserved a Fire House that cost three times as much as the others in the county, better parks, better schools and more amenities because their houses cost more. These people are sometimes referred to as "Cobb Snobs". That's the story I heard.
-
Everybody is moaning about the premium costs, have you seen the out of pocket expenses after copay and deductibles?? Holy crap!!
-
This is just sad, very, very sad. All of Paulding is 1354............Cobb is 1515 and Floyd County is 1517. From the article:

You realize that entire thread was debunked, did you read the entire thread or did you just post the bait thread of the OP on that forum?? 13 people are dead and numerous people injured. Just because someone starts going off the deep end doesn't mean we should follow along.
