Last I checked we still have first amendment rights. The citizens exercised those rights even if the Airport Authority didn't want to listen, the media obviously did. Why don't they want to hear from citizens? Oh Pubby's site is getting lots of hits on the airport issue. I don't think you'll hear him complain. Those who have been once intoxicated with power, and have derived any kind of emolument from it, even though but for one year, never can willingly abandon it. They may be distressed in the midst of all their power; but they will never look to any thing but powe

Wait, what? He joined Propeller in December 2013, that was like last month. How long has this been going on now? Since you are so up on this newest addition, what role will he play in the day to day operations of Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport? I also thought our lease was with Silver Comet Terminal Partners, LLC, not Propeller Investments.

Well there is the PCAA, yes I want to see their credentials but I'd also like to see those of Propeller and their successes of "running" an airport.

So now he's bringing a baseball bat and drugs instead of a snake stradial, which do you prefer? LOL

Thank you, it is time to upgrade. What would you suggest for those that are still using XP? Windows 7? 8? Surely not Vista.

I still use Paulding Networking for all my computer stuff. They are in the Publix Shopping center in New Hope (Dallas) -
This is the guy that has done Paulding Meadows for the last 5 years. http://bookjohnskaraoke.blogspot.com/

At the grocery stores? Or a deli shop?

And you only had to dial 5-xxxx if you lived in Dallas.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they make that a 4 way stop and move the stop light to the Huddle House over by the Plaza. Where the Ben Franklin, Food Giant, Movie Theater, Gas company and Jacks was. I sure miss those places. :yahoo: ETA: I forgot about Butler Ace Hardware.

A little more on that MIT study Mr. Dean and AA Chairman talked about </h3> http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2013/05/08/182262805/smaller-airports-take-bigger-hit-as-airlines-cut-flights -
Yes they do Whitey. I truly never believed David was this kind of person, like you I am extremely disappointed but I learned after his first term.

What if Paulding and the Airport was operated as a for profit corporation?
tundra replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Thank you!! I plan to share this with many, it makes the whole case. My main issue is the promise of NO commercial service. We're only one secret meeting, one secret retreat, a few million dollars and a few more misleading announcements away from a second runway, and a third and a fourth. All with no viable plan, just spend, spend, spend. Brett Smith is going to laugh all the way to the bank while the Paulding County taxpayers are left holding the bag, just like we have been for the last 10 years. -
I think I heard Tommie Graham made an overseas trip with Brett Smith. Of course no one can confirm or deny that. Wonder who paid for it if that's true?
-
He was there to get on camera, he was too busy chit chatting with his buddies. He didn't hear a word they said. When Brett Smith got there he hightailed it with him to a private office to get his talking points.

Thank you surepip, you've got it. You totally understand why we are angry. Paulding County has changed a lot in the last 15 years, not a bunch of gullible people that trust those boys they grew up with will do the right thing. These people see them for what they are and they are not good stewards of taxpayer money. That's what they were hired to do, protect the citizens and make those investments profitable. Great analogy!!! Can I share this in other places? Do you mind? It's like turning an 18 year old loose with daddy's credit card. No limit........but Dad........I can tur -
Since people are using ridiculous comments about Todd Pownall, I just thought I'd share with everyone the "ideas" quote: Many a true word is spoken in jest Meaning A literal meaning; that the truth is often found in comic utterances. Origin The first author to express this thought in English was probably Geoffrey Chaucer. He included it in The Cook's Tale, 1390: But yet I pray thee be not wroth for game; [don't be angry with my jesting] A man may say full sooth [the truth] in game and play. Shakespeare later came closer to our contemporary ve

So you're saying this was payback for Todd not supporting David in he reelection bid? Aren't they supposed to be doing what's in the best interest of the county, not getting even with someone that doesn't support you. You're okay with this Pubby?
-
What was that that Tommie Graham said in the Hollywood comes to Paulding video from 12/9/11..........oh yea at 7:12 he says. "Those of y'all that know David Austin, our chairman, he gets many, many ideas - okay. And lots of 'em are stupid -okay, And some people have to chase some of his ideas. Some of them I had to chase are really stupid - okay. But this was one of his ideas." Tommie's words, not mine. How's that movie studio working out?
-
How do we know Todd didn't ask questions? I'm thinking he did and got the same answers he always did, just not the whole truth. Unless we were with Todd 24/7 I don't think anyone can honestly say he didn't do his job adequately.

Mr. Dean is a smart man with lots of experience. -
Why don't you ask the teachers and students about week or so before the air show.

I really wish some of you would go visit those people in Clear Creek and up and down Hulseytown Road and see how close that airport really is to their homes. When you get finished there, go on over to Oakview and Jones Mill, you can see the airport from many of their yards. You will be amazed.
