  1. Are you bringing the Doritos? LOL
  2. Again, I see the glass 1/2 full (of wine ) most times If this were truly a win for the county, the judge would have dismissed the case with no merit. The fact that this will move forward, (he even asked about a jury trial) is certainly a win for the Super 6. Maybe a little set back because they didn't want that money spent. But I do believe the Judge was taking into consideration the workers that had completed their contract work and needed to be paid.
  3. OK, maybe I'm just forever the optimist but I didn't see today as a win for anyone but the subcontractor that was hired to do this work. Without the judge telling them to go ahead a pay them, they would have been in serious financial troubles. As a subcontractor I can tell you not getting paid for a job is devastating, it happens all too often. The judge did tell them to go ahead and disburse the funds left, but it probably wouldn't be a good idea to approve any more "loans" until this matter is settled. While he didn't say "don't" he wants to be notified "if" it happens. With that said, this
  4. Should we wear our wigs and noses? I think the judge might get a chuckle out of them.
  5. When we are helpless for our children, it hurts our hearts. Praying for comfort and quick healing.
  6. Just wanted to share this little tidbit with everyone here. I'm sure I posted it before, but just to refresh your memory. I'm guessing only the names of the county and airport have been changed to protect the company. http://www.gwinnettcounty.com/static/departments/transportation/aviation/pdf/Propeller_Technical.pdf
  7. Notice how my posts with hard data showing "The nation's small- and medium-sized airports have been disproportionally affected by these reductions in service," are just skipped over.
  8. And why do you want a commercial airport? Pray tell. Seriously, it's a struggling industry that's downsizing every day. The projected job growth is mainly in the area that should have been brought here before they even had the first landing. How many airlines have gone through bankruptcy and restructuring in the last 4 years? How many airport have been closed in the last 4 years? How many airports are operating at below full capacity? You can't stand there and scream at the citizens trying to prevent yet another money losing project without facts and documents to back up your claims.
  9. As a chamber business member, I am appalled they would print something that indicated chamber members were in full support. After talking to some of those listed as the board of directors, they were a little surprised their name appeared on that full page ad since they didn't actually vote.
  10. LOL Just like I said, you didn't even look at the information. Pilots are declining, most every other aviation related industry is forecast at 0 growth the only area that "may" see growth is the assemblers and fabricators........in case you haven't been paying attention the last few years, that was the industry that the airport was going to attract when they built it. Now I'm not a rocket scientist but if THAT is the only growing segment why oh why couldn't they bring in that industry when this was still a general aviation airport. You don't need commercial planes landing and taking off
  11. Wonder how many people will actually click on the link, then the position to see for themselves. Tell us again how this will bring Paulding more jobs. I'm just not seeing it.
  12. These are very good people, they came highly recommended to me. Steve Nations Roofing: http://www.angieslist.com/companylist/us/ga/powder-springs/steve-nations-roofing-and-contracting-reviews-6191767.htm
  13. Robert Aaronson was NOT a part of Propeller when this deal was hatched. Pubby, can you tell us what role he will play in running this airport? Since no one else has ever done this before, I hope his role will be an active and visible one.
  14. Ahem, I heard that phrase used last week. Yes it is as stupid today as it was then. I didn't quote anything.
  15. Free money, free money, free! free! free! That's what I heard in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and now 2014.
  16. Also said those that are opposed should pay higher taxes. He's what is referred to as a useful idiot.
  17. <br /><br /><br /> LOL Whitey, I do believe St. Radial was being sarcastic. I don't believe he thinks Gwinnett is stuck in the 70s. Hard to decipher sometimes but they have some of the best paying jobs in the Southeast, without a commercial airport. $400,000 is a LONG way from the millions needed for Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport.
  18. God willing, I'll be there. These hearings are open to the public. This is a hearing by a judge for the challenge of the 1 million dollars the IBA lent the Airport Authority when the bond was challenged. That bond challenge is awaiting a hearing by an appellate court, the 3.4 million dollars for the expansion is still on hold.
  19. Wasn't that jury told the airport would never go commercial? I'm thinking there was something about that.
  20. OK we all agree, all money for the airport is a tax. Different sources of tax collection, but it's all a tax. The government has no other source of income including the FAA, the state and local. I want to know how much total money has been spent on the airport since the studies to date. A breakdown as to what was FAA money, state money and Paulding County taxpayer money.
  21. <br /><br /><br /> Bahahahahahaha Monopoly? Really? Better talk to Southwest, American Airlines, United and all those others that fly out of Atlanta HJIA. Welcome to Paulding County, where the Airport Authority makes the rules as they go along.
  22. <br /><br /><br /> They followed procedures set out by the AA's legal council. The time spent arguing if they could speak or not would have afforded at least two of the speakers enough time to address them. Sure they wanted to hear from the citizens. You left, or you were in Brett's office with him and his doggie, you don't even know what went on. I guess the rules change every meeting. ~shrug~
  23. <br /><br /><br /> And surely you went out the next morning and bought another $1,400.00 worth of attachments because the thing wouldn't work as good without them.
