  1. PPPs are a favorite of the UN, it falls in line with their socialist agenda. Other studies aren't so supportive. http://www.goodjobsfirst.org/sites/default/files/docs/pdf/powergrab.pdf http://www.goodjobsfirst.org/sites/default/files/docs/pdf/scandalsnotjobs.pdf
  2. I wouldn't wish renal cell carcinoma on my worst enemy. How low can you go? I'm done, absolutely done.
  3. Sorry kidney cancer took center stage. Perhaps if you have only one left, you might have to make choices, too. Glad you are so judgemental. It has nothing to do with the subject at hand. Some people just think everyone should do as they say, and leave their own back yards a mess. BTW, my taxes are current. No property taxes are unpaid. BB apparently thinks when you have to make a choice between having your kidney removed or paying taxes you certainly should pay your taxes first.
  4. Maybe because you thought it was important to let everyone know our company has been struggling the past years because of the recession. I have entire families suffering as a result. Turn about is fair play. Everyone has skeletons, everyone. You stay classy and so will I. It's really not that hard.
  5. Talked to the mom of a boy that just made Eagle Scout. Interesting conversation. Everyone has skeletons, everyone!!
  6. No doubt there are many incestuous relationships in this county. I would think Chairman Austin, since he sits on the PCAA board, would not vote on the issue of loaning them money. But hey, conflict of interest runs rampant throughout this county. Everyone stay tuned.
  7. .<<<---- the point. You missed it. LOL
  8. Stay tuned, it's going to get better. Thanks CPR, you sure add an element of entertainment to all of this. LOL
  9. So Brett Smith definitely needs to go back to New York and Blake Swafford needs to find a job in Cobb County. Yay, we agree on a few things. :yahoo: :yahoo:
  10. You better tell 75% of the Chamber they have no business sticking their noses in Paulding County matters! Tell Blake Swafford, Jamie Gilbert and 1/2 of the employees at Paulding county government offices the same thing. Oh and Brett Smith, he needs to get the heck out of here and back to NY.
  11. You can answer your own question when you actually drive out to the airport and Yorkville and visit those subdivision I'm "bloating".
  12. You obviously don't' realize how many houses you are talking about. There are several hundred right near the airport and about 2000 within 3 miles of the airport runway.
  13. Your analogy isn't such a good one. Without watching for the cracks, you're going to fall into the sink hole before you even get to the street. If you don't read they fine print, you end up getting screwed. The devil is in the details pubby, is now always has been. That's the whole problem some aren't paying attention to details, if they don't fall in the sink hole, they walk into the street while looking at the top of the building.
  14. I know another subdivision over near the sheriff's office did not have one resident supporting the airport. Everyone but two were opposed, the two that weren't were undecided because they had little kids and couldn't take the time, they just took the literature. They had other things to do. Great people, by the way, interesting conversations. We're seeing this throughout the county, even in neighborhoods that aren't close to the airport. I'm thinking this three ring circus is only full of stunts, they haven't a clue what the people really want.
  15. How many times does he have to say it before they listen? It's all true, every bit of it. 5 minutes, such a generous offer for the citizens. Is that supposed to make anyone feel better? CPR, you continue to crack me up!!
  16. Why did you cut off KVs speech? If anyone wants to see it, you can go here and watch it. Selective editing? https://www.facebook.com/savepauldingco
  17. Where did you hear that? Lordy, I think the ACTUAL business community behind this doesn't even have offices in Paulding County. You better check on businesses that supported other candidates in the last election and see who pulled what business from them. You should not criticize others for something you are guilty of yourself. Still chuckling. You are funny as heck.
  18. The unsafe conditions at the airport are a result of putting the cart before the horse. Why don't you go build a house, sign all the contracts with the subcontractors then get funding. See how that works out for you. The AA started construction on this project without proper funding in place. Now the taxpayers are on the hook for correcting an unsafe condition. Concerned Paulding Resident thinks this is okay, I just have to chuckle. Guess what, I "know" tomorrow I'm going to win the lottery so I'm going out today and buy a beach house, a mountain home and that yacht I always want
  19. Oh I see, no big deal. Nothing to see folks, no need to even tell the members of the IBA you've talked to a state legislator about the possibility of legislation that would be "fast tracked" at the capitol. To say some of those IBA members were "shocked" is probably an understatement. But you weren't there so you can only go by what "they" tell you. Didn't take you long to make that phone call to get your talking points, did it Pubby? The citizens are paying attention, we're watching, we have to and that's a sad shame.
  20. I'm very surprised you think this is a good idea. I never expected you to support an out of control government that thinks the citizens are "clowns". We are not opposed to jobs, we are not opposed to industry, we are opposed to COMMERCIAL flights. Those planes won't be flying near your house up there near Helen, so no, they won't bother you at all. Why weren't you upset that the people you voted for didn't make that General Aviation airport work? If they can't bring industry with a little airport what makes you think businesses are going to want to locate in a federally secured area
  21. What really happened was the Airport Authority allowed construction on the airport to begin without proper funding and studies in place. They moved dirt they shouldn't have and blew through that million dollar loan so fast it'd make your head spin. Then they ran out of money leaving the airport just about unusable and unsafe for aircraft. Instead of going to the the company that has the most to gain from all those millions, they came to us, the taxpayer to bail them out, again. This is what happens when you have poor planning and put the cart before the horse. Why would they even cons
  22. Wow, I sense some bitterness for citizens finally speaking up and speaking out. Today was very intersting. We the taxpayers get to pay for the taxiway expansion because someone started construction without funding in place making it dangerous for planes to land and take off at the airport. Now why in the world would anyone do that? Now let's talk about the change Maxwell wants to make on behalf if the IBA. Funny, some members of the IBA just learned about it today. They were going to tell them at the meeting next Wednesday. Secrets between commissioners, secrets between IBA memb
  23. Hey you forgot to mention that Tommie said there would be 25 flights a day. Not 2 a week. The big discussion at the 4:00 meeting had to do with the IBA and Maxwell's ad in the New Era. Apparently there were only a few people that knew about the change being requested at the Capitol. The mayor of Hiram was a little put out. It was the first she heard of it and she is a member of the IBA. Oh, Blake knew but the some of the elected officials didn't. Secrets, everywhere!! They continue among this administration. They were going to tell them about it at their meeting on Wednesday. LMB
  24. For one, we have no interstate access, no rail, no way to get there but through the land of 1000 stop lights. That's different. Since it's difficult to find the time to read or research articles, I copied this from Mrs. H's link: "Industry experts said they expect the challenges faced by airports grappling with unused space will continue to grow. One factor, said William S. Swelbar, research engineer at the M.I.T. International Center for Air Transportation, is American carriers’ ongoing rejection of the 50-seat regional jet, as epitomized by Delta’s new pilot agreement, under which
