1. The speakers that appear on the work session agenda will speak this morning, the afternoon speakers are not yet listed but there are some.
2. Come on now, we have 3 (three) jobs at the airport now. The one they promised would bring us 2000-3000 jobs when they built it. In the 4 years it took to build there were lots of construction companies out there working, but once that was done, nothing. Now I'm not the smartest cookie in the box but it seems like someone, somehow related to the aviation field might have shown an interest in building a facility at that fabulous industrial park they were so heavily promoting during those 4 years, you know before the bottom fell out of the building industry. Now we're supposed to be
3. But no one broke any laws.......... Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
4. Yes there was a quorum present. However because no one knew about the meeting until after 6 months, the sunshine law violations were avoided. No minutes, no record of the meeting. They just forgot about them.
5. This is an excerpt from an article in todays (3/10/14) AJC. Skirting sunshine laws in order to prevent citizen opposition is not the best way to garner support for any project. This is the #1 reason I am opposed to this airport expansion, this is NOT in my back yard, we are not in the flight path, the airport will have little to no impact on my personal life. I can't use the quote function so everything that follows is from the article that can be seen in it's entirety here: https://www.facebook.com/savepauldingco Hollie Manheimer, an attorney and executive director of the Georgia
6. LMBO!! I know they would both love to "see" something.
7. Italian beef from Chicago. Sadly, there is only one pound left. Looks like a road trip needs to be planned.
8. This should have been heard in court. Instead they broke the plaintiffs, that's sad when citizens can't even have their day in court. Run up the legal bills until they've lost everything. Doesn't anyone else see a conflict of interest on the part of the developer and the "firm"?
9. This is actually very, very scary! We have a well, one that has been tested by UGA Extension Office as safe for consumption, however we have county water in the house and use the well only for watering the garden and plants. I would certainly hope we don't have to ever deal with something like this.

HEY PUBBY

Bahahahahahaha, so I guess the "if there were any commercial planes involved, I wouldn't be standing here" was just a lie to scare Delta away? Too bad, they didn't let the citizens in on the little "game".
11. Do you have any thoughts on who or why someone might have wanted to make you sick?
12. This leads me to believe they were not interested in you or your child being sickened, just making sure they were covered. It only keeps getting worse.
13. So does this mean they wanted "others" to believe this wasn't county water? Did they "plan" this before they did the testing? Things that make you go, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

HEY PUBBY

Good then you agree, let's get the commercialization on the ballot. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

HEY PUBBY

Bring on the industry, bring on the jobs, leave the 737s at Hartsfield where they belong. We were promised a general aviation airport, let's make that work. Put the commercialization on the ballot and this will all be done.
16. So you've seen the business plan? Please share it, we've been asking for it for over 5 months. Finally someone has some actual facts. :yahoo:
17. I don't describe it as North, South, East or West. To me it's still communities. Burnt Hickory, New Hope, Union, New Georgia, Sudie, Braswell, etc. Having lived here over 30 years, I just know where these places are.

HEY PUBBY

Call it what you want but we have knocked on doors in Dallas, New Hope, Hiram, New Georgia, Burnt Hickory, Yorkville and Union, people are overwhelmingly opposed to commercial service. Put it on the ballot and we'll see.
19.

You're right, biggest in the number of passengers, not the biggest in square footage. I'll rephrase it from now on and call it the busiest.
20. I hope you find justice, somewhere. This is a travesty.

HEY PUBBY

They can't, the citizens are overwhelmingly opposed to this commercialization. When they hear 737s their jaws drop open. They won't risk citizen input, it will mess everything up.
22.

I've flown out of Birmingham twice, the parking fees were a little steep.
23.

Funny you should say that, being from Chicago my kids had to fly back every summer to spend time with their dad. He told me to just make the arrangements because I could always get cheaper flights from Atlanta and back than he could and no they didn't fly Delta.
24.

Well I would certainly have to agree with you on one thing, knowing what the heck the plan is would be beneficial to everyone. I've never flown Allegiant but from their Facebook page, I don't think I'd want to. I will say I'm very spoiled at Hartsfield, compared to other airports they have their act together. I can get anywhere I want to go, walk a few steps to the check in, get on the train and be at Concourse D in about 20 minutes. Not bad for the biggest airport in the world. Don't want to talk about Detroit, LAX or Fresno right now. Midway
