  1. Thinking those that moved to the NE part of the county did so for lower taxes and better value. Now that they are there, they want the very things they moved from, increased taxes and lower values. I just don't understand the mindset. Did they not realize lower taxes meant less "conveniences"? Seriously, when I moved from Chicago to Paulding County in 1983, no way did I expect to have what we did there. This is a rural area and as such you "might" have to give up a few things you are used to. I did, 31 years ago and I haven't missed it one bit. I have survived just fine, and love Pa
  2. I'm thinking Yorkville needs it's own city and own government.
  3. BOE, Bank Board, Chamber of Commerce, Airport Authority, Industrial Building Authority, no liability, no responsibility by the very people that will benefit.......I see a pattern and a common denominator.
  4. It happened again. I left my dad's house near Goldmine Road and Hwy 101 at 5:00 to get my sister to the airport, ATL, the busiest airport in the world. Know how long it took us to get there? 1, yes ONE whole hour. Dropped her off curb side while she checked in, went back around, parked, met her after she had checked in, in less that 15 minutes. Since she had a good while til her flight left, we got a Starbucks and sat outside watching some Southwest, American, United and a few other flights take off. Did you know there are TEN major airlines that fly out of Hartsfield? So much for the
  5. So glad it all worked out for you. I had only used them for service before and was very, very pleased. I wish them much continued success and hope they are around for a long, long time. Glad you're famous!!
  6. Amazing, there is a common denominator in most of this. He's a partner in a law firm, and represents the BOE, the Airport Authority and the Industrial Building Authority. His firm also represents the BOC............so who do you think will walk away and who gets stuck holding the bag.
  7. Georgia Heritage Bank is locally owned and operated, here is the board of directors. Are these the same people that approved this loan? https://www.georgiaheritagebank.com/board-directors.htm
  8. They are all awesome!! I love #2. Remember this pic will stay with him for the rest of his life. The smile is incredible but the seriousness with the touch of "I've got this" is becoming!! And, maybe it's just me but is his bow tie crooked in #3? Can they fix that? It may just be the way he's turned.
  9. So that's where my glasses went.....................darn it all! I will not be getting on a plane to Dallas to retrieve them. I think he just needs to buy me a new pair......and have them shipped from the warehouse.
  10. I don't like winter. I want stuff blooming!
  11. Just read something that everyone should pay attention to. Even the White House! A reality check now is better than panic later.
  12. CC, this is real and it is scary. Just as the White House is acting like it's not a big deal, you seem to be following their lead. Everyone should be afraid, the CDC nor the White House have done much to protect the American citizens. I'm not okay with that. Someone needs to act like this is the big deal it is. Thank you News Junky!!
  13. You're welcome mei lan, they have their own folder in my email.
  14. If you want every commissioner to get the email, let me give you their individual email addresses. Anyone else that would like to tell them how you feel about this, please flood their in boxes. David Carmichael - dcarmichael@paulding.gov, Todd Pownall - tpownall@paulding.gov Tommie Graham - tgraham@paulding.gov, jerielinvest@bellsouth.net David Barnett - dbarnett@paulding.gov David Austin - daustin@paulding.gov
  15. This is exactly how I feel. I have discovered, it begins at the local level. I have learned things I really didn't want to know.
  16. Well ABC (2) via Chris Combs and CBS (46) via Will Frampton is firmly in the pockets of our BOC. Maybe Jeff Chirico (46) will have some interest?
  17. Ha! You do have a point, however controlled burns happen even in the Sierra Nevada's without timber harvesting.
  18. So who's going to contact them? I think it should be someone close to the Morrison's or even them. I don't have enough first hand information to peak their interest, but it sounds like something they would be interested it. This is a gross miscarriage of justice!!
  19. I know there are other contributions coming in the form of cash by other means. Lowrider, I'm copying your signature to share in other places.
  20. I have learned it's probably not always elected officials that run this county. Doesn't matter who sits in those chairs.
  21. There are some awesome people in the court system here in our county and neighboring counties. I personally know some great attorneys and elected officials and wouldn't hesitate to call them friends.
  22. Not even sure it was the monetary amount, it was about getting their story told in a court of law so the public could hear the testimony and it would become public record. Every single citizen should be afforded that right, every.single.one. Instead the county litigated them out of money to shut them up.
  23. So the county can allow timber to be sold by the original owners via the "contract" for the green space, but the City of Atlanta cannot tell us what to do with the land we bought from them? Double Standard? I think so.
  24. So are we expected to believe the liberal media just found out about this? Now they are disparaging the Military for not reporting it? When it fits their agenda, they decide to report it? Open records requests are not a new concept. I don't believe this is a "new" discovery by the media.
