  1. What ever the problem is, it had to do with the old commission regime. Has nothing to do with the new guys. The stop work order is because too much has not had oversight for way too long. The county administrators weren't doing their jobs............they overlooked what the GOBs were doing. I love how people want to blame the guys who haven't even had a chance to have a meeting yet. This has to do with the Commissioners focus being on the airport and the H*ll with all other goings on in the county. Including the Sheriff's training facility being put on the back burner for the eni
  2. Oh and just for the record........that 14% added up to over 4600 votes in May, for anti-airport candidates. Now I'm not a math wizard but I "think" that's more than 10. Check out the SOS's web page if you don't believe me, it's all public record.
  3. Some of what they say over there is horrible. They have threatened us with physical harm, called us names, and just trash anyone that has a differing opinion. This was about News Makers, and guess what, the airport and the elections were big News Makers. Last I checked the Paulding Neighbor was a News paper. Wonder how many of them have threatened Tom Spigolon and the Publisher?
  4. The picture may be of two ladies, but it was a group effort. No way could just two people have accomplished what happened. Protect Paulding and Citizens for a Better Paulding County are growing every day. More and more people are realizing citizens should be heard and acknowledged, not chastised for speaking out about taxpayer backed bonds being spent on things they don't agree with. And yes, it is quite an honor that we are ALL proud of.
  5. You and Melissa were right there with us, cheering us on. Thank you. ((hugs))
  6. Very proud to be part of this ever growing group of citizens. Thank you to all who have stood with us, worked with us, and walked with us, helping to make a difference. None of us is as smart as all of us! ~~Kenneth H. Blanchard (teamwork)
  7. Thanks for the heads up! Elrods has been making big bucks off this for years. So have those switch your tank things in front of so many stores. What about kerosene? I found one place that has it for $5.50 a gallon, any where else?
  8. Amen Surepip and Mrs! I see good things for you (and Paulding County) in the future. God bless you with health, happiness and wealth in the New Year!
  9. The treasurer of the group is a private citizen. Yes, we decided who would be best to care for those funds. I'm not at liberty to share his name but he handles his responsibility with the utmost care. There are only two of five commissioners being replaced...........so there is still a long way to go for open, honest, and transparent government. I love how some here are demanding more information from private citizens, using private funds, than from their elected officials playing monopoly with taxpayer money.
  10. I have no legal fees that need to be paid. I have not taken a dime from anyone that's anti-airport. I'm not narrow minded, in fact I think I have studied this debacle enough to realize it's a failed venture, just like it was from the beginning. I've done my homework and I've looked at the data...........I'm not naive enough to believe new commissioners can do magic, but I expect them to represent their constituents. And I expect the board to be open, honest and transparent. You're inability to get a job has really skewed your thinking. Again I ask you, where is the data to suppor
  11. I can tell you Delta DID NOT pay for those billboards. Local residents paid for those and Todd Pownall paid for his own, out of his own pocket. Check his campaign disclosure. There was one person that has a business interest in Paulding that paid for one of Tony Crowe's signs, along with other citizens, you can also check his campaign disclosures. Delta did not pay for any of those signs. Now tell me again there aren't any pro-airport bill boards out there. There are many more advertising $59.00 fares at our airport for a non-existent airline than there are anti-airport. Now tell me
  12. Same here, I'm outta likes but I do like your post. LOL
  13. You are correct Scott Beale was the FBO director and the hangar was being built for the 53 year old company he had just purchased. Within a year, he drove it into bankruptcy. Here's a FB post regarding his "business skills??" Yea, he walked away from the hangar they were building for him and had to leave the FBO behind. http://konsortiumcapital.com/aerodynamics-inc-adi-has-confirms-plan-of-reorganization/
  14. Hello, manufacturing and 737s are completely different animals. I have NO problem with manufacturing, the technology park, or any other aviation related business moving into our airport. There has been nothing stopping them from doing that since October 2008 when the airport was finished. Our Economic Development has given incentives to several businesses that recently located in Paulding. They have created 100s of jobs, but NOT ONE has an interest in the airport or the industrial park planned there. Surely you understand if it was so desirable at least one company would have shown an int
  15. Yep and we didn't use voter lists, we went to every house in the subdivision. Door knockers spent a lot of time in New Hope, Seven Hills and Bentwater. Those were the areas targeted first and continued until elections were over. In fact, one of the commissioners running was neutral on the airport until he started knocking on the doors in his post, he was shocked to learn how many people were opposed and then decided his opinion didn't matter, the people's in the post are what mattered. Those people were again opposed to commercialization by a huge margin. EZ used to live in Paulding C
  16. Of course I didn't talk to every person in the county, you know I didn't, but I was not the only one knocking on doors, there were many of us. And you know what? It didn't matter where in the county we knocked, the response was the same..........North, South, East and West. I don't have the count, I'll see if I can get it for you since you insist I'm not telling the truth. But I know it was thousands. At one point we had knockers going to 3-400 houses a week, this went on for months. I like how you just ignored this: Show me where and how this is going to bring jobs to Paulding Cou
  17. Please show me it's not true. I didn't use voter's lists..........I went door to door in subdivisions. Are you saying I'm lying? Really now? Show me where and how this is going to bring jobs to Paulding County. There is no factual data to support this airport will ever create jobs, unless you know something I don't. 6 years that airport has been completed and NOT ONE business is interested in moving to an area with no interstate and McCollum, Cartersville and Peachtree DeKalb within 20 miles with easy interstate access.
  18. So if no one can say the majority of the voters don't want an airport, no one can say the majority do want an airport. Voter apathy matters, just because people don't feel a need to show up at the polls doesn't mean they don't want something. Bottom line, the people that mattered showed up at the polls, the others either didn't care or aren't concerned. Having been part of a group that knocked on thousands of doors, I can tell you this commercialization is not wanted at least 3-1. Say all you want, the anti-commercialization candidates won. Remember Boyd Austin won by 80 votes in
  19. Let's see, no one mentioned cargo. There is a huge difference in a 737 and an airbus. Like enough power to carry one hundred extra people. Bottom line all our "boys" are interested in are those extra dollars associated with 139 certification. The government should not be using taxpayer backed bonds to fund a start up company, period! I guess there are a few that have fallen for the slick talkin' New Yorker's grandiose scheme. Do you know that all supporting data presented by Propeller was picked and chosen by them, not to mention some of the stuff was just made up. Looking for a
  20. Yes it is, I love what's going on at Cobb's McCollum general aviation airport. I also heard Cartersville airport is expanding but will also remain a general aviation airport. No Commercial Service sounds so great! I just wonder how much more taxpayer money they will spend on legal fees defending a private company? 450 days, to infinity and beyond.
  21. That's awesome Blondie! What a great looking family!!
  22. We are no longer a nation of laws, we are a nation with a President that refuses to enforce the laws he doesn't like. Blocking traffic is against the law, inciting riots is against the law, letting illegal aliens stay in America is against the law. And the press exacerbates the situation with all their racism against whites.
  23. This is very nice for Christmas morning. CBS 46 in Atlanta will also have it from 6:00 am until noon. Thanks for sharing.
  24. Well, it's not a mistake if I learn something, right? LMBO
