  1. I can get you a No Commercial Airport sticker, will that make you feel better?
  2. That was the second time. Yea, the bonds was the question on the ballot in 1999, but you ask those that voted against it, they didn't want an airport period. First time was 1975. Ask Chairman Austin how his dad felt about the airport.
  3. You're the one saying they will be there and you're asking me if I have a crystal ball? I can tell you for sure a football team will win the Superbowl next year and we will still be waiting on Tom Cable to allow the suit to be heard in court. (forgot the smiley)
  4. Dear God Pubby, they are not talking about permanently staying at the airport, it will just be flights in and out. No one collects taxes on a 737 that just offers flights from an airport. Talk about being deceitful!
  5. You know I had a great conversation with a very nice young man by the name of Terrance.
  6. Which one Pubby? Come on now, you know. While you're at it, you might want to look up ei3 and EOS airlines.......just do a good search, it's fun. Here I'll help you: http://dealbook.nytimes.com//2008/04/27/luxury-airline-eos-files-for-bankruptcy/
  7. I love the title of this thread..........thank goodness for "insurgents". I'm still scratching my head, trying to figure out why any of this surprises anyone. These commissioners are fulfilling their campaign promises, a rarity in today's political climate. Thank you "insurgents". Insurgent, from Merriam-Webster dictionary: : a person who fights against an established government or authority It's about time someone finally righted the ship that's been ready to sink for years, the established government has been out of control.
  8. So it looks like again, we pick losers. Surely the City of Dallas will cancel the "Ghost Tours" as well. Since this story broke I've heard some pretty horrible things about these guys. It's not like this is the first time they've ripped people off. This breaks my heart. http://www.gofundme.com/wegotshafted
  9. Don't you have a good picture of Doris to share? Since Toxic is so interested in arrest records?
  10. Look the FAA said the EA should have been done...............did the airport director deliberately forget to mention they were seeking part 139 when he said the original EA was enough? Because it wasn't according to DC. I told you, unlike you and your entourage, I'm really not interested in being on camera............I certainly don't want to sit in a room with all that hate being slung around.
  11. Yea, you also were not at the PCAA meeting where Todd begged the PCAA to sit down and talk about the IGA.............why was the chamber director so rude?
  12. No spin, facts...........the FAA agreed the environmental assessment had to be done......David Austin and the PCAA are responsible for the $358,000 loss, period. The contract expired. The pad still sits, ready for a spec building when the EA is complete. I'm in the construction business, I'm familiar with this process. Now go back and check how many no bid contracts Croft and Associates had before this. Funny, now that he recommended it would cost considerbly less to build the 911 Center on industrial way, Carmichael and Austin want it to go out for bid? Your spin makes me dizzie
  13. Bottom line, the PCAA and the BOC put the cart before the horse when they moved that dirt and signed a contract to build the 911 center before the environmental assessment. The previous BOC is the one that cost us $359,000. Not the law suits and not this commission. The contract expired, it was no good after two years. They didn't cancel anything, it cancelled itself. The same contractor wanted a million more dollars to build it now, there isn't enough money to do it now. So you can blame David Austin and his cronies for wasting that money, not the citizens that demanded a proper environm
  14. You know, I don't like getting up there to speak, being on camera is not what I want to happen. I get up there to speak in hopes the Commissioners will hear what I have to say. So I missed one vote...........they still agreed on more than they disagreed on. I'm reminded of all those 4-1 votes during the lame duck commission and before. Remember the IGA was approved in a 3-2 vote. What Roy had to say was important, I was very interested in what he had to say, I do wish I could have heard it all. This from the man that won't get out of bed to come to the meetings and report the news.....
  15. There were 8 agenda items the vote was 3-2 on #1 and #2, the rest they agreed on with 5-0 votes. Isn't it nice we acknowledge the commissioners agree on more than they disagree on.
  16. The city of Dallas has lots of resale shops and thrift stores...........many areas are in decay, it's disgraceful. Perhaps it's time for a new mayor?
  17. Just ask yourself, who opened this pandora's box? Didn't Paulding chase Atlanta back to Fulton and Clayton County in the 70s? Funny 130,000 residents later, the airport is still opposed 2-1...... Yea, thank David Austin, Blake Swafford and the Paulding Airport Authority for inviting Atlanta back here.
  18. ^^^ And there it is............everyone else is wrong because he says so. Progress requires business plans and community support, not bullies and pie in the sky dreams. Sorry to break it to you but we are NOT in the ZONE
  19. Tsk, tsk, tsk.................you didn't even look for the writing on the wall, let alone see it. No one has ever "tried" to ruin this site, you did that all by yourself Pubby. You can't chastise your members and tell them how stupid they are and how superior you are to them and expect them to actually pay money to be insulted. Whitey has ALWAYS stepped up for that he believes in, no punches, no premise, no question. When he's right, he's right, when he's wrong he admits it...........that is a good man. Pay attention and take lessons. Thank you for who you are Whitey!
  20. The Mayor of Hiram was elected with 97 votes, she sits on the airport authority and the IBA. Carolyn Wright, Blake Swafford and Calvin Thompson are not elected officials. What gives them the right to decide what is best for Paulding County? How does the PCAA trump the BOC? What is wrong with that picture? Don't feel too bad Pubby, there are a couple of people that got less votes than you did, the mayor of Hiram and maybe the opponents of Vernon Collett.
  21. When you say something that isn't true to discredit someone, yes there is legal recourse. I told you I didn't watch the video, so I don't know what's in it. I've seen enough to them to know they are full of nothing but angry rants about how smart they are and everyone else is stupid. The quality of the video is horrendous, the stuff that comes out of everyone's mouths is disgusting and they think it's all so funny. I would have never posted in this thread if not for Toxic's lies..........l'm done but I have screen shots of what I need. I was alerted to the lies and Toxic usin
  22. Oh and there are grounds for a law suit in this thread. Typing and publishing information about someone that is not true is grounds for libel.
  23. I didn't actually watch the video, every one of them is hate filled and insulting...........just because someone clicks on the link doesn't mean they actually watch the video.
  24. I think you need to delete the video, it's filled with attacks on many people. Always is.
  25. Yea, finally! LOL You know it's not a good idea to publish information about someone that isn't true.
