Of course you do, I wouldn't expect any less from you. Not that it matters but I don't see it happening in the next 40 or so years.

I think I love you. Seriously, St. Radial, you get it, you really do and you're not even opposed to commercialization.

First of all there is no monopoly............that's hogwash. Hartsfield is Delta's hub, like O'hare was United's, Detroit was Northwest's. Rose, you have hurt a lot of people with your words and mockery. It won't just go away. Your reality and mine are not the same. All they have to do is drop the 139, hire at least a marketing company that can sell a General Aviation airport, and let the citizens voices be heard. You cannot deny election results because people don't think enough people came out to vote, the results cannot be changed, it's a done deal. What should have been done

Pubby, you've batted zero. Why don't you just move out of the way and let the movers and shakers show you how it's supposed to be done. Let the troublemakers speak the truth, as they always do. -
I have no desire to talk to anyone that is responsible for this entire debacle. He should have come and talked to the citizens before he started this sh*t!! Of course you would think it's okay, you have no problem switching sides as it suits your needs. I will continue to tell everyone I know what the "loose lips sinks ships" guy thinks of our community and the red neck hicks that live here. He may convince you and Patti, you know with your degrees and all, but he lost his chance, along with those elected and appointed officials, when they decided to fly all over the US on the taxpayer

1st amendment rights may give you the right to go after someone personally, but other than politicians, is it the right thing to do? I think everyone running for political office should be fully vetted. Personal attacks, whether typed here or on a "show" aren't nice, remember you have to live in the same community as those folks. Be prepared for the backlash when they've had enough.

Here's another one, some more comparison to the failed airport, before commercialization was even dreamed up, supposedly. http://paulding.com/forum/topic/268497-paulding-to-be-camera-ready-look-out-hollywood/?hl=%2Bfilm+%2Bstudio Hate to say it but they were told. That stupid trouble maker Tom Millenase. Wasn't Roy Sparks a good friend of his, too. Troublemakers, I tell you!! -

The more things change, the more they remain the same. This is the same group that gave us the General Aviation airport, that has been a complete failure, the film studio that has been a complete failure and you want us to believe this is the "ONE"? Sorry we tried to tell you about the airport, before it was built, they were told about the film studio before it was built. How many more failures are you the taxpayers willing to back? This is just one of many threads on these matters. Pay attention to who has always supported these failed projects. paulding.com/forum/topic/275256-pcoms -

Who was the initial carrier, that pulled out and 2 years later is trying it again? Do you really believe we're going to pull .22% of the market share from the busiest airport in the world that already has at least three discount carriers? Really?. -

Oh and they didn't just do that in Atlanta............they did it in many places, all over the US www.daytondailynews.com/gallery/lifestyles/holiday/delta-flies-40-kids-north-pole/gCPym/#last http://www.briansumers.com/home/2015/12/3/photo-gallery-delta-air-lines-flies-la-children-to-the-north-pole-to-meet-santa-sort-of -

And they gave all their employees huge profit sharing checks, 800 of them live right here in Paulding County. Wanna know what else big bad Delta did? They sent limos to Children's Health Care of Atlanta to pick up the cancer patients, took them to Hartsfield, loaded them on a plane, taxied to another gate where Santa was waiting at the North Pole. The first thing they did when they got off the plane was have a snow ball fight. You see my 5 year old great niece was on that plane to the North Pole, she's suffering from non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, her parents will NEVER forget what Delta did -

Again Pubby, you haven't read my posts. I have served people, especially children for the past 25 years. I have no objection to serving people, I have objections to government shoving stuff down our throats, against the will of the voters. You also realize the guys with the college degrees are the one acting like a buffoons? Like a two year old having a temper tantrum? Cargo can already use our airport, do you see them lining up? Do you see any major businesses moving here since your Commission Chairman not only pushed our economic developer out but has managed to piss off the state -

You better read what I wrote again, that is NOT what I said. We don't need commercial airliners to bring business and jobs to Paulding County, nothing in that EA indicates that. My objections are silly? Where's the business plan, where's the financial data, where's the investment by the private entity? Exactly what is Propeller bringing to Paulding County? Seems like all they want is that million dollars from the FAA to IMPROVE the airport every year. Wouldn't you love the government to give you a million dollars or more a year to grow your business? #PropellerGoHome -

Bottom line, the county owns the airport........... that was until Austin and Company, a lame duck BOC, gave it to an unelected board to circumvent an election he didn't like the results of. As a result, the taxpayers are on the hook for any mis-steps or failures with no representation by the post commissioners, who were elected by the people to do just that. They have stretched the boundaries of what the Chairman's job is to a snapping point. There is NOTHING in the EA, any studies, any data that indicates commercial passenger service would bring more benefit to the county than a su -

Never gonna happen. Too many folks have other ways to communicate. Social Media has moved to a different level. Lots of folks just lost interest because of the meanness, here. Yes, I have participated, this site really brings out something in me even I don't really like. There's no reason to take a beating when you can just have fun with your friends and cut up about mutual interests. So glad Zuckerburg doesn't get too involved in conversations.

No they do not have a 139 certification. They have charter service but not scheduled passenger service. The planes are below 30 passengers, perfect for sports teams. The international terminal is for corporate jets for executives flying in from the Bahamas, Virgin Islands, etc. The FBO operator actually paid for the new control tower. I guess his business has been profitable for him as well. I would love to have all this at our airport, McCollum is dong a great job!! Cartersville is rocking and rolling, too. It's happening all around us, yet just like our Film Studio, our airport is

nana, you should do your homework. Those of us that have lived here for any length of time know the city of Atlanta purchased that property as a "favor" to a friend(s), during a down time. Not an unusual move in the realm of politics. Sure they explored the possibility of putting an airport here. Why wouldn't they? But every single study since has determined Paulding is "not a feasible site" for a second "hub". If they wanted to put an airport here, it would have already been here. Again, someone is using "scare tactics" to have you believe something that is absolutely not the truth.

Paulding Chamber being challanged on airport issue

So let me see if I understand the supporters arguments: 2 to 8 flights a week will bring thousands of jobs, with only 200-300 additional cars This will never be a regional hub, even though their attorneys stated that in court documents Commercializing the airport will have little to no impact on the area surrounding the airport The kids in the schools won't be bothered by the commercial passenger jets The trees will grow back (through the concrete???) They can limit the number of commercial flights to no more than 8 per week (yes the PCAA attorney said this) 55 FTE, Full Time Equivalent -

I do believe I heard the county hasn't installed water lines for many years. The builders and developers paid to have the water run to the subdivisions they were building. So unless there's a subdivision built near that church, it won't get water lines from the county or anyone else. I don't understand why the county needs an airport when there are people with dry wells all over the county. Those septic tanks in hundreds of subdivisions are scary.
