The Beginning of the End for Airport Expansion?
tundra replied to michaelsudan's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Oh, dumping raw sewage, human waste into our lakes and streams is no big deal. This problem on Merchants drive has been ongoing for almost 20 years, everyone in the city of Dallas from Boyd to Kendal knows it and even Carmichael came out, looked at it, acknowledged they had a problem and they never heard from him again. This is in Post 1. Dallas just keeps paying the fines and the taxpayers keep paying the fines. Through 2009, Dallas had dumped 2078 times into Pumpkinvine creek and had been fined. Then we stopped getting news releases about it. In 2010 Boyd was appointed by -
Billboards on 278 and the overall airport situation

Really Pubby, the government "printing" money doesn't mean the taxpayers are off the hook. Even the FAA money is taxpayer money. rednekkhikkchikk is right, you're wrong, again. -
The Beginning of the End for Airport Expansion?

This is a little bigger than deer turds. It's my understanding pictures and information has been sent to several agencies and individuals. This poor family has been dealing with this for nearly 20 years. The city of Dallas has paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines but it hasn't stopped them, they continue to pollute our waterways. Yes, when the city or county is fined, it's paid with taxpayer dollars. Obviously the residents of the City of Dallas are alright with paying those fines, over and over and over, because not one city council member or the Mayor had a challenger in t -

The Beginning of the End for Airport Expansion?

This Yorkville resident will challenge you to the amount of taxes paid to Paulding County. This disgusts me, you think because you have a big fancy house that somehow what you say or think is more important than those that live in Union, Yorkville or Beulah? Another fallacy created by this airport debacle................there are more residents in West Paulding than all of Bentwater, Seven Hills and Cedarcrest put together. I get riled up when those uppity NE Paulding residents think they are somehow better than those on this side of town. I'm sorry you have 1/2 acre lots and your sept -

Here's the bond agreement for the 3.6 million the county had to back. There are no lawsuits against the BOC regarding the airport. The lawsuits are against the PCAA. You decide http://www.savepauldingco.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Bond-Agreement.pdf -
That's a lot of carpet, 100' of anything is usually not scrap. Since the county ran Shaw off from Paulding, we don't have a "manufacturer" here anymore.

I'm not arguing with you, but Republicans are a POLITICAL party. If that word was substituted with Democrat, would it then be political? BTW, I'm LMBO, it's quite comical. Which I think, makes me happy.

So "Republicans" are not political.................I see. It's okay, I'm very happy. I have a roof over my head, food on the table and clothes on my back. I have it a heck of a lot easier than my parents or grandparents did. Fun you say, fun???? Sure but sometimes you have to tighten your belt and work a little harder. You don't always get to play, besides, working in my garden is plenty of fun to me. I guess it all depends on what your definition of "fun" is. Not the first time in my life we had to pinch pennies but we survived, just like my mom and grandparents did. Made us

What's the difference in setting a back fire and this? http://dailysignal.com/2015/08/13/after-epa-spills-toxic-waste-in-colorado-river-nearby-residents-hope-for-recovery/ Oh that's right, one's a government agency and the other is a taxpayer that can be fined.

So what damage are the cattle doing to the government owned land? Why can't they graze on Federal Land? Isn't the Federal Government really the people? Or isn't that what it's supposed to be? There's more at stake here than grazing rights. We have a tyrannical government doing land grabs, why? ETA: This is not something that just started with this administration............it's been going on for a long time. I'm all for land preservation but the government, local, state, and federal cannot own anything without the "people's" money.

Are you kidding me? What about Waco or Ruby Ridge or the Anthony Gonzales debacle? This is about overreach by government. These men were sentenced, served their time and the newly appointed Federal AG decided it wasn't enough. Oddly, she resigned in disgrace (but of couse citing health reasons). It doesn't matter what color their damn skin is this is about the Fed government and the media overreaching their power. Here's a write up from the local paper, unless they aren't actually "reporting". Quit making it about race, it isn't. I'd feel the same way if they were purple!!! This i

Exactly what are they disturbing? They have a LEGAL right to have those guns. Who exactly are they hurting by "occupying" that building? They aren't shutting down government, they aren't preventing businesses from operating. Because guns are involved? Raping and pillaging people is better than someone possessing a firearm? Really? Are you serious? Because they are exercising a constitutional right and the government is making this a big deal. The local police are not the Federal Government. I think everyone needs to go back and learn a thing or two about our US Constitution and the St

A. The Federalist Papers, No. 28: Alexander Hamilton expressed that when a government betrays the people by amassing too much power and becoming tyrannical, the people have no choice but to exercise their original right of self-defense — to fight the government.[Halbrook, p. 67] B. The Federalist Papers, No. 29: Alexander Hamilton explained that an armed citizenry was the best and only real defense against a standing army becoming large and oppressive. [Halbrook, p. 67] C. The Federalist Papers, No. 46: James Madison contended that ultimate authority resides in the people, and that if th

Looting, stealing, raping.............all considered peaceful protests. Armed Militia = white terrorists? Really? Isn't this why the founding fathers gave us the 2nd amendment? The right of the people should always come first, not of the out of control government. Perhaps Waco should be remembered, are we headed there again? Tell me again exactly what those in Oregon are disturbing? Didn't the people that trashed Wisconson's capital do the same thing? What about Occupy Wall Street? That was okay, this is not? Why?

HJIA to serve 100,000,000 passenger - most for any airport ever
tundra replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
They are offering an air taxi from Paulding's airport. It only costs about 2 grand to go to NC from here. I think it will only cost a couple hundred to go to PDK. They started in 2009, after six years of no takers (sound familiar), they announced a "new" air taxi service. But it's the same one. LOL https://www.imagineair.com/?q=blog&id=9 On November 16, 2015, Neighbor Newspapers ran the new announcement........or is it new? -

Yep that logic said the origianal airport was a great idea, the film studio was a great idea and Paulding "might" vote for a Democratic candidate. Yep, same logic. -

HJIA to serve 100,000,000 passenger - most for any airport ever
tundra replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Ha!! Deregulation and consolidation are things that have driven the market in the US. This isn't a fight over how cheap a fight is, it's a fight over who's going to get the FAA money. To get that million or two a year they have to have over 10,000 enplanements a year. If all people were interested in was saving $20.00 a flight, those in West Georgia could drive on over to Birmingham, those up North to Chattanooga...........those in South Georgia could jump over to Macon.............oh wait, Macon can't get 10,000 enplanements a year, they can't even attract a carrier. Wonder why Allegiant -

Jeeze, I will say this one more time, very s l o w l y............Delta is an airline, HJIA is an airport. If Delta went out of business tomorrow, HJIA would still be profitable. Eastern Airlines comes to mind. Brett Smith and our PCAA are NOT running an airline, they are supposed to be running an airport. One that wasn't going to cost the taxpayers of Paulding County a dime. When Propeller fails, the County is on the hook to repay the FAA. -

Using taxpayer money to the tune of 1 million dollars a year and moving in to a 50-70 million dollar tax payer funded facility, doesn't equate to "free market". If Propeller came, paid their way, took all the risk I wouldn't have a leg to stand on, they'd make it or fail on their own accord, just like most other businesses. -

What is scary Pubby is you don't see the potential of the liability to the taxpayers.
