ELECTION RESULTS Ron Davis wins Post 1 seat through December
tundra replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
I have never said any of the things you are implying here. We have been lied to from the beginning, starting with "it won't cost the taxpayers a dime" and "nothing bigger than an SUV with wings, and let's not forget, "never, ever will there be commercial airliners, believe you me". Oh yes and NO gray areas, everything out in the open. What are people supposed to think? How does anyone expect us to believe anything they say about the airport. Forgive my discontent, but a man is only as good as his word. -

There is correspondence with the airport manager and Brett Smith going all the way back to June 2012. Do an open records request and see for yourself. Your sources will tell you what they want you to say. -

Ron is his own man and no he's not being swayed by any special interest group. Why would you even bring that up but to cause drama? -
ELECTION RESULTS Ron Davis wins Post 1 seat through December

So I hope everyone would now agree, the airport is the biggest issue facing Paulding County, the voters in every single post have voted for No 139. We have replaced 5 pro-airliner elected officials who those that ran on "No Commercial Airport". We have been saying since day 1, get out of your circle and actually talk to the citizens. Not your friends, not friends of friends, people you don't know, those blue collar guys, the ones actually getting elected and are voting!! People are energized and they are voting their conscience. The don't want a commercial airport, most of them did -

It was a record turn out for Paulding County. Some amazing Poll Workers and volunteers were at every polling place in Paulding. https://www.facebook.com/PauldingCountyTodayPct23/?pnref=story -

Low voter turn out = NO "Outside" money = NO PAC = NO Negative campaign = NO Best man for the job = YES!!! Ron Davis ran on a zero budget, fiscal conservative, anti commercial airliners- pro general aviation airport, and commissioner accountability and transparency platform. With all four posts electing anti-commercial airliner candidates, I'd say Paulding has again shown we need to stop the Part 139 and boot Propeller out of Paulding County. -
Oh I see, because she stands up for what's right she's a "public figure". Pubby those are some mighty serious accusations you make there. Sad, sad day when people think it's okay to go after a citizen, even in unscrupulous ways. So much for that 1st amendment right. Brett Smith reminds me of a perpetual child, the bully on the playground that takes your lunch money. Spoiled rich kid.. Did you know his mom even wrote a letter on his behalf supporting commercialization of our airport. I don't even know where she lives or if she even lives here the US, Smith went to school in France.

It's to protect elected officials from saying or doing the wrong thing. They also are the Parliamentarian, making sure the meeting is held in accordance with laws and local ordinances. Whitey is right, an attorney is present at every "authority" and "board" meeting in Dallas, Hiram and all of Paulding County. That includes Chamber and Economic Development meetings. Mason Rountree is the attorney for Economic Development, most others are represented by someone from Talley, Richardson and Cable.

This is exactly why Smith thinks he did nothing wrong. David Austin: “You started a page and wrote some nasty things about me, and you included my wife,” Austin told Sudan. “If that’s the way you were raised, we don’t need people like you in our county.” So Austin is fine with Brett Smith but tells a lifelong Paulding citizen "we don't need people like you in our county." Here's the FB page Austin is referring to, I would venture to say Mrs. Sudan is a bit angry at some folks. www.facebook.com/David-Austin-Recall-767079280053751/?fref=ts I don't know what Ms Skippers salary is, bu

I don't care what side of the fence you are on, Smith's actions are inexcusable. He needs to be gone, back to New York. We don't need 40 years of the likes of him. He certainly doesn't fit in Paulding County. I swear I keep hearing Charlie Daniels singing The Devil went down to Georgia.

Kohl's is closing stores as the department store industry collapses
tundra replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I hate Kohls is in trouble. I hate to see any retail business in trouble. Let's see if that gross receipts tax plays into the one in Hiram. -
I asked one of the members of the Election board about the special election in Post 1, they said it was non-partisan so it would appear on both ballots.

Couldn't explain it any better. ROTFLMBO!!

Georgia state House votes to allow guns on public college campuses
tundra replied to Jamie Weaver's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I see those that are opposed to campus carry have not studied the facts. I heard one of our state Reps discussing this today. Guns will not be allowed in dorms or frat houses, but will be allowed on campus, to those 21 years of age and older. I don't know about you but I wouldn't send my kids to Georgia Tech (one of the best schools in the state) or Georgia State today. In fact my youngest wanted to go to Georgia State 10 years ago and I told him "no". He was accepted and most of his friends went there, he lived on campus at University of West Georgia in Carrollton. Yes Sue Wilkins is a Paulding resident. I'm not 100% when she moved here, I'm going to guess 2009 or 2010. In fact LR, she doesn't live far from you. They moved to Paulding County after her husband's motorcycle accident and they lost their other house when they couldn't pay the doctor bills. Her sister helped them buy the house in Paulding County, it was a foreclosure.

I'll say this, we have been minimized and demoralized by elected and appointed officials along with many of the "elite" of this county. We have been laughed at, scorned, threatened and made fun of. We've had back ground checks done on us (yes, we got some but not all in a open records request) We've been added to a list, pinpointing the exact location of our homes on an attached map ( I have a copy of that map and list of names) We have been accused of breaking into people's homes, with ZERO evidence Personal information has been plastered here and on other social media sites We have

I hope you can point me in the direction of what those that oppose the commercialization have done that was unscrupulous.

I'm hoping everyone watches this video. You know the one where we gave a 50 million dollar asset to a sneaky, heartless person for the next 40 years. How could you not care what implications this has?

They have done much more damage than helping Brett Smith. Paulding County will be a long time healing for what Brett Smith and this group has done.
-
On the Support the airport FB page, they all tear into her. D Austin says she hates the county, the DOT and the school system. It's in the visitor posts.

I wish I could like this x 1000 Mrs. Howard. Yea, wasn't that cool. David Austin is okay with people like Brett Smith coming here but someone that's lived her all their life doesn't need to be here? Such a fine example of an upstanding Commission Chairman. Did you see what he posted about Ms. Liberty?

I'm sure Brett Smith or Mike Jones can get them for you. I'm still waiting on the rest of the background checks Jones did. That's been about 2 years now.

BeachBum, you're not even worth trying to tell the truth. Sue Wilkins filed bankruptcy because her husband's leg was amputated........that's all anyone needs to know about that. You're part of the group that put those disgusting billboards all over the county, you're even listed as an officer. That's all anyone needs to know about that.

Not worth it.
