Kim Rocks!! But she's a school board member, not the Superintendent.
-
So you're saying you drew up the contracts, they signed them with no business background checks? Like your credit worthiness? And they fronted you millions of dollars of upgrades for your business? Wow, that's not been my experience with government contracts. Good for you!! Are you saying Propeller bid on this project? Wow, I never saw the RFP.
-
You've seen a business plan? Can you share it? All I've heard is there will need to be another 35 million or so for the taxpayers to get the airport where Propeller wants it, for 2-4 flights a week. Do you know something I don't? Maybe Mr. Carmichael knows?
-
At that moment the Commission Chairman will write him a scathing letter if he "dares" interfere with something he has planned. The result of which no one will want to do business in Paulding County for quite some time.

1220 days ago we were duped ny the Airport Authority

I think I remember why I seldom visit this place anymore. Really Glassdogs, Carmichael and Austin blew it. They kept secret deals from the voting public. I thought you were a conservative. This is a perfect playbook by Democrats. But then, David Austin's father was chairman of the Democratic Party in Paulding County. History tells a story. -
-
Ha!! Let's see it..............seriously, I'll be there when it's fully loaded and landing. Will you? (I'll observe from the top of that hill by the terminal) Back to the OP, the BOC is doing all it can to protect the citizens of Paulding County, unlike the previous BOC that gave the PCAA the entire package, lock, stock, and barrel.
-
Yea, it was empty. Wasn't this the airshow that the county (taxpayers, yes me and you) gave $55,000 and they still lost thousands of dollars? You know that charity never got any money from them.

Ask your "people". They are the experts.

Loaded or empty? Makes a difference, ya know.

Don't ya just love someone that always asks for information that is readily available but always criticizes the one providing the information. I'm tired of doing your work, only to be treated like slime. Do it yourself, I'm not responsible for you not paying attention. -
Well, you just might be wrong. The runway cannot support the weight of cargo planes. Sorry to blow your theory out of the water but check with your "people" and get back to me. The PCAA is not "us" because David Austin and David Carmichael thought they'd be much better on their own, without the oversight by the BOC. True story.

If you'd go to the meetings you'd know. You don't believe me or criticize me when I give you the information. There is all kinds of info on FB and the internet about Paulding and it's shenanigans, do some research, please. -
Mr. Dobson was there, so was Roger Leggett. Mr. Carmichael was there for the morning session, I'm not sure for the evening. I was running a little behind and got there about 5 minutes before the meeting started. The other two commission candidates were not there.

Both the PCAA and the BOC had to hire outside counsel, because the same law firm represents both. The BOC voted on it in a public meeting, for everyone to see and hear. The PCAA just did it, without a vote. -
The county did not vote to "sue ourselves". How ridiculous. Between January and August 2015 the PCAA received $875,000.00 from the BOC, per the Intergovernmental Agreement. In January when the bond payment was due, Propeller did not make the payment. They were obligated to make that payment per a contract signed with the Airport Authority. There are ZERO contracts between Propeller and the Board of Commissioners. All the contracts are with the IBA and the PCAA, remember the contracts were signed almost a year before the Todd Pownall was made aware along with the public. The

They should have paid the bond. They had the money, that the taxpayers gave them, why didn't they paid the bonds?

How about you go get some ammo for that rifle first? You aren't going to take down a deer with an unloaded gun. You hire someone that knows how to market a general aviation airport, I think someone offer that solution up there^^^^ about 50 posts ago. The PCAA hasn't a clue how to run an airport, Blake hasn't a clue how to run an airport, hire a company that does. Those businesses didn't just pop up at McCollum and Cartersville. Don't think any business man would say, "Hey, let's go to Cartersville and see if they have an airport for our aerospace business." That's not how it works. -

You heard? From who? Did you hear a commissioner say that? Surely you wouldn't be spreading gossip, would you? -

I will say this, Whitey does his homework. He has open records requests to verify his costs associated with the airport. Now remember this, we voted against a 3 million dollar bond to purchase property for the airport, they built it anyway. It wasn't going to cost us a dime.a The IBA paid for the property when they made a profit off another piece of property they sold. Who exactly funds the IBA? As of today, right now............we have a bond over a million dollars for the water tank, we have more bond dollars in the corporate hangar and a 3.6 million dollar bond for the taxiway expans -

If a non-profit receives more than 1/3 (33 1/3) of it's funding from government sources, it's still subject to the same considerations as a government entity. Non-profit PPPs must be almost totally independent of government funding to be considered "Private". -

Not to mention the bond debt we now have, with no vote from the public, is more than originally asked for to buy the land to build an airport. The Chamber will never be self sufficient until they actually realize their role in the county. -

Now this we can agree on!! I think there is more that you and I agree on than that we don't.
