Tell him to power down and turn it back on in a few minutes. We went from iPhone 4 to 4s and it took a while for the photo stream to completely upload. Also, the pictures are set up slightly differently. When you open up Photos, the Albums will have Camera Roll, Photo Library, and Photo Stream, and at the bottom is a tab to go to Photo Stream. Check all those tomorrow and they should be there.

I keep seeing this argument but I'm not 100% convinced. There are teachers who are NOT comfortable with guns, and a person unwilling to shoot a loaded gun is more dangerous than someone without a gun. Now, are the teachers going to carry a holster like cops do, where it takes effort to remove it from the holster so kids can't grab it and use it, or will it be locked in a desk drawer so the classroom doesn't look like Tombstone? If teachers are lecturing and they hear gunshots in the hall, what should they do, hide the kids if no escape is possible, or grab their firearm and assume the shoot

Saw an interesting piece of trivia at the Kennesaw Mountain museum. One of the soldiers who fought at the battle of Kennesaw Mountain was MacArthur--as in General Douglas MacArthur's dad.

Obamacare Could Double Health Care Premiums: Aetna CEO
J'smom replied to barrycdog's topic in RECENT TOPICS
But Aetna's not covering all of America, silly CEO. I work in healthcare (well, I'm trying to find a job again still) so it'll be interesting to see how it's going to affect providers. -
You're nicer than me. I would have gone inside the QT and asked if they could page the owner of the offending vehicle, that they were illegally parked in a disability-accessible spot and needed to move. My dad saw a sign at a restaurant that said "If you're not handicapped when you park here, you will be when you leave" and he thinks that should be posted on every handicapped spot. I saw a car, with proper signage, park in the disability-accessible spot at Penney's in Hiram, and they just pulled in at a horrible angle. Their front tires were in the space next to them and the back tires wer

You're welcome, unless you're a Chick-Fil-A employee then it's My pleasure. I worked with someone and she'd say "uh-huh" when she was on the phone and the caller said thank you. It drove me up the wall!

Thomas Sanitation and haven't had any complaints. They provide the 90-gallon roll can and everything, pay quarterly.

I've started making garlic cheese cresent rolls. Preheat oven according to whatever the can of cresent dough says. Cut a block of cheese, I use sharp cheddar, into thick strips the same length as the widest part of the roll. Place the cheese on the widest part of the triangle, roll up cresent rolls around the cheese. The cheese should be inside the cresent roll. Sprinkle garlic powder and garlic salt on the top of the rolls, bake according to whatever the can says. Cresent rolls are awesome alone, but these are da . She's just mad that Elvis didn't put extra cheese on her hash browns, scattered and covered. Wow. The government pulled off two massacres this year and pinned the blame (and killed) two mentally ill guys in their 20s and the guys' dads are okay with that. Hmm. So the government killed innocent children and adults and made the gunmen shoot themselves for added effect. Bet she posted a link in 2005 showing President Bush setting explosives on the levees in New Orleans so it would flood--but only after he shot the seeds into the clouds to steer Katrina toward the Gulf coast. Yeah. I think

When my ex and I got baptized my mom got both of us a bookmark for our bibles. They were silver with a cross on top and a ribbon with praying hands on the bottom, and the middle was engraved with our names and baptism date. Since Lemstone Parable is closed in Hiram, the closest Christian bookstore is Lifeway in Douglasville on Douglas Blvd near Arbor Place. No confusion there.

Try Googling him. I googled myself to make sure nothing funny came up since I'm looking for a job and don't want prospective employers seeing something weird or tied to another person with my name. The only thing I found was spokeo.com and that brought up my name, age, address, picture of my house, and a lot of other stuff you can pay to see. It also shows address history--give it a shot.

That was fun.

104.7 The Fish has a thing on Mondays where you can print a card and take it to the drive-through with you and pay for the car behind you. You give that card to the cashier and she passes it to that car so they know somebody cared. Some people have called in to the radio station and reported being a recipient of this--and they don't listen to that station--or it started a chain reaction where several cars did that. One guy bought lunch for everyone in one particular restaurant. See, some people do these small acts of kindness daily. Heck, we've been to Folks with coupons, picked the one w

They could have been having a rough morning and not getting acknowledged just irritated them enough to vocalize it. I'll usually say "hey, howareyou" and go about my merry little way. I don't stand around and chit-chat in the breakroom so I try to have a quick escape planned.

We typically don't go into each other's stuff. If he needs something and it's not visible I'll bring the wallet to him. He'll bring my wallet to me and if I'm busy he'll go into it sitting by me, mostly to make sure he's looking in the right place!

Churches That Offer Vegetarian Options? Loving Support ...
J'smom replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Any function like that I've ever attended had a few cheese pizzas, a few more pepperoni, and some supreme. A lot of kids eat cheese pizza only. My church always gets cheese. New Season in Hiram. -

Paulding County School District - Letter to Parents
J'smom replied to HawkeyeAngel's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Was this given out at school today or is it posted to the PCSD website? -
Okay, so if I buy a car next month, I'll pay a one-time 7% tax at the time of purchase, then every year on my birthday I'll have the $20 tag fee and no ad velorem tax? Did I get that right? I'd love that because my birthday's right after Christmas and it sucks having to come up with that extra $140 or so so soon after buying gifts and food and all the Christmas stuff. However, would I be better off to wait a few months before I buy a car? I'm planning on getting one whenever I get a job, so if I pay $125 for my ad velorem tax at the beginning of January then buy a car in February, I'd be p

This song was recorded in 1995 and the video was dedicated to the Oklahoma City bombing. I played it on repeat driving to work on September 12, 2001, and every time something horrific happens I listen to it. It's by Garth Brooks and it's called "The Change." One hand reaches out and pulls a lost soul from harm while a thousand more go unspoken for and they say what good have you done by saving just that one, it's like whispering a prayer in the fury of a storm. And I hear them saying you'll never change things and no matter what you do it's still the same thing. But it's not th

Do you put items on your tree that remind you of loved ones?
J'smom replied to Lady Raider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yes. When hubby and I got married, he'd been a lifelong bachelor with no kids, so his tree had all pretty, matching ornaments--then I added the pipe cleaners shaped like candy canes, the paper wreath with my son's picture in the middle, and the clothespin reindeer. He loves those more than the pretty ones. Our whole family gets together at my parent's house on Christmas Eve. Every family member has an ornament engraved with their name and we all hang our ornaments together by family and have our pictures made by the tree. When my grandparents died my mom and her siblings started hang -
Question for parents regarding birth
J'smom replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Depends on your child and what you think they can handle. My oldest was 10 when my baby was born and he wasn't there. He was at his dad's that weekend just because it was his dad's weekend, but we had contingency plans if he had been with us. If he had been with us he would've waited in the waiting room when it was time for anything messy or traumatizing. Hubby and I were the only ones in the delivery room. My philosophy is if don't have initials behind your name or weren't involved in the conception, you don't need to be looking down there. My parents, in-laws, aunt/uncle, and sister we -

I've said before, the Falcons could win the Superbowl and people would complain about the color of the rings. Just can't win. They SHUT OUT the Giants--first time the Giants had been shut out in how long? The defending Superbowl champs were scoreless against the Falcons--love it! (They did win this year's Superbowl, right? I gave birth that day and wasn't really watching much of the game!)
