I definately have poor water quality, but not found a way to successfully filter the water. Any suggestions there? I'd have a hard time coming up with the hundreds of dollars it looks like it would take for a pond skimmer this size. Probably 1000-1200 gallons. I tried encasing the pumps in the plastic air conditioning filter stuff and keep it rinsed evey few days, but yuck! It has no way of holding on to all the yucky stuff that collects on the outside. I have a multi-tiered fountain running in it, to aereate the water, and a spitter and waterfall. All pumps have filter systems on them, bu

I'm new to this "fish as pets" thing. But, I have some koi that look like they have "ick"? WTH is that? A few have a little spot that looks like their scales are roughed up. I thought they had been fighting or something. Somebody told me it could be ick. Anyone every heard of or dealt with ick in a pond?

You could just use broken glass sort of like puzzle pieces to fill in the design you choose. There might be a type of band saw type cutter that could be used, too. You should see the ones Mack is making. He is off Ridge Road, would it be possible for you to get by there? I'd love for you to be able to keep your creativity alive and producing. Mack Porter, the man that restored mine, also makes stepping stones with his scrap glass. He puts it on concrete stepping stones in beautiful designs and pictures. (way too pretty to actually walk on) That might be easier than working with the lead.
