I have a friend that works drug task force in neighboring counties. He says these folks even have a van service that picks them up, takes them to the pain clinics, to the drug stores and then home. There is a lot more of this going on than any of us could imagine.

My precious Sister in law is gone. I pray for a cure for Huntington's disease. It is such a horrible way to die. Both her children were by her side as she passed away. She was truely loved and will be remembered with honor. Gloria

My kids ate so many grilled cheese sandwiches, I taught them to make a toaster version. Put the bread in the toaster, unwrap your cheese slice, put mayo on one side of the cheese, and as soon as the toast pops up...slap the cheese down and cover with the other slice. Bam! toaster grilled cheese. The toater was one appliance they could use on their own.......just no butter in the toaster!!

If you think about it.......most places that make a good quarry, do not make a good place for homes.......with a septic system anyway. What were the county officials thinking?

Planning & zoning board? What a joke! Had any planning been put into this county, there could have easily been areas for jobs and homes. But when they allow thousands of homes to be built EVERYWHERE, to build the tax income, (so the say) there are going to be conflicts. Maybe the quarrey can be successful enough in the future, to purchase some of the homes that were built & purchased AFTER the quarry began operating there.

We should be very afraid of increasing jobs around here. It might make people want to stay. A quarry is certainly not the worst neighbor you could have. Dump trucks are pretty dangerous on the roads with you, but even that is another job. Let's all hope they do expand.
