No my fish are warm enough. LOL What size is your pool? Wanna borrow my blanket? I sure won't need it for a while. It warmed my water very quick....2 days max in this weather. I used it EARLY and it raised the temp 4-10 degress a day, but that was also not sunny weather.

Mine is 82 degrees! Come on! A solar blanket would heat your new pool really quick in this weather. AND you going to want one for next spring anyway..........

And next time remember to flush the science project down the toilet Actually pull out the rubber gasket to clean it. It is supposed to be made to pop in & out for cleaning.

I used a brim about 6" long, floated it under a float about the size of a baseball. You have to keep a little tension on the line to keep a brim that big from tangling the line. The hardest part is waiting until the fish pulls the float WAY under and starts to take it away. If you don't, it will reject the bait and leave you fishless. I have got to get some turtles out of the lake. They have started eating my brim I am fishing with.

Mine do have the jagged edges. They are not skinny like the pictures I found. I couldn't find a really good picture of them. Maybe I'll have to post a picture of mine......OH GOD!! I may need to wait until it's blooming!!

LOL!! I have a hibiscus that looks just like that......until it blooms out with huge red blooms.

Can't tell ya. I'd have to kill ya. LOL! My back yard. I also must add that I usually do not look that bad. I had worked on my deck replacing boards, did the laundry, worked in the yard, cut grass, swam for awhile......then when I decided to rest a bit, my hubby put a pole in my hand and this fish interupted my break!

She was not the biggest one I hooked into, just the only one I could land! Can you see that the tail is about beaten off? That's from being on bed. If a mama jama like that is reproducing in my lake, I sure want to keep it that way. I didn't even have scales to weight it!! It was so heavy, I've got my elbow propped on my side to be able to hold it up!

I must admit it was great fun. AND I put it back, to catch again someday.

I did that in my younger days! But I still enjoy the bug eyed, head snapping, old-lady head whacking, tongue hanging looks that even an old lady can cause! (Especially when she's on a big ol' pretty bike)
