I TOTALLY agree! And it is wonderful to watch out the windows as deer graze all over around there. It is an AMAZING place. It's also a great area for a motorcyle day trip.

You did a great job! Beautiful family with lots of potential, I wish you all the best. The pictures are great!!

It would be nice to have candidates that were worth voting for. Can you even imagine having 2 candidates that were so good it was hard to choose between them? -

Some people will do anything to get attention. Sometimes the best thing to do is ignore them, and hope they go away. One of those people we know thrives on attention, and especially when the media get involved. Maybe he is feeling a little lonely, lately. I hope the lesson to your son is beneficial in his life. If that person with his warped ways, in some way, helps to spread the word that our world needs some changes, he has (in his own warped way) done a good thing.

Drip systems rock. I did find that some plants need more water, and had to change some of the drippers to small squirters. They put out more water and also need a little more pressure. I tried a drip system on my grapevines and had to have 3-4 drippers per vine. I even tried working that, off my rain barrels, but the rain barrels could not hold enough water but for 2 days at a time. When you purcase the drippers they list the gallons per minute the give, and they sound like tiny amounts. BUT when you multiply that by the number of drippers and the number of hours, they really do go throug

The magic words are here. She may need a place of her own, even here. Just a place that is her's. She may begin to spend less, and less time there as she adjusts, and finally be ok with moving in with you.

They would not have helped with my neighbor. They aren't bullet proof, but they are pretty. I saw that Lowes in Acworth has their sun shades on clearance. They are AWESOME, if anyone just needs to block an area that gets way too much sun at times. They come in differant widths too, so measure before you go. -
A seperate system can be done for your washer with a few of the "field line chamber units" too. They are sold at many of the box "DIY" stores. A couple hooked together and blocked off, except for a pipe at the top, then attached to a few more, for the additional leach field. The first two will keep lint and stuff from clogging the other chambers.

If there is anything that you know you want, let me know and I'll get it for you. we can do some swapping for some of the other stuff you dig up! My Forsythias have gone nuts! I've never had any do so well. I think it is because they are "touched by an Angel".

Motherly instinct paid off big time! Tiny, tiny baby though, sure hope she does ok.

A bale of wheat straw goes a long way at small plant protection. Do not weight the plants down with it, just go around them and a little over the tops, to help keep frost off them. If we do not get a freeze, the plants should be fine with just a little frost cover. By layering the straw around and over them, the frost doesn't get to them so easy. You also do not have to worry about cooking the plants if the sun gets to them before you pull back the straw. You can leave it several days. Just check to assure that the wind hasn't uncovered them too much.

Maybe the reason she can't get assistance is the fact that she is actually "HONEST". Been there and done that, myself. If I get in a possition to need help again, you will see me on the side of the road with my sign, begging for help. It will be way less embarrassing than what AFDC did to me.

Let's all quit our jobs and have a sit in, on someone else's property. We'll just live there a while and let other folks feed us. We can have seminars on how to sign up for all the assistance programs, concerts to sing about how mistreated we are, AND make the news. After we trash the place, a few of us can get arrested so we can get more news coverage. Who knows maybe Michele or the Prez himself will come and make us all better. If not we'll just call them. That what we need?

These cages are great for cucumbers, watermelons and catalopes too. Keeps them off the ground & clean. I had to use them to keep the deer from getting all my cantalopes. I used stretchy fabric (pantyhose) to make slings for them when the started getting heavy. You might do well to go ahead, make the cages and sell them. I'd like a few myself.

Do enjoy the brief calm. It won't be long until you have a house full of wonderful grandchildren. Enjoy the fact that have have become independent adults & you didn't have to throw them out! -
Do any of you remember when there was a big deal about "foil pack" meals? They had recipes for meals you folded into foil and placed on your car engine, so your meal cooked as you traveled. Never sounded very good to me.
