We have all ready gotten 4" in 5 hours.

So my zipper doesn't scratch my chrome when I ride my motorcycle. DUH!

People are using some heart wrenching tactics to scam people too. I was approched in a Walmart parking lot by an older couple, asking for $3.70 to get an antibotic prescription filled for their grandbaby. I would never pull my purse to give money like that. I asked them for the prescription and I'd get it filled. They said they would not give it to me. I told them to come with me, and they got mad and said "nevermind". My 1st clue was that they were driving around asking for the money. If you can't afford a $3.70 prescription you sure don't need to be wasting gas asking for it. H

OWWWWIE! It looks like that seat would cause something worse than a broken ankle!!

After they have been told many many times that are no longer welcome to disturb our mornings, I take them as fair game. Ever see the movie "Second Hand Lions"? As a true redneck southerner I am obligated to introduce them to true southern hospitality. Take your shoes off and stay a while. If they can come to my home, on my time off, and make me uncomfortable, why should I not be allowed to make them uncomfortable on my own property? They don't want to see my hubby in his undershorts? Don't come to my door week after week, getting earlier and earlier!

Hubby stripping down to his undershorts and greeting them in the drive way, offering them a beer with one hand and scratching with the other, worked REALLY well. They walked backward out the driveway and NEVER came back. A few months later he was at a neighbors house, up a ladder painting for him. Whe he saw them pull in his driveway, he came down the ladder and headed toward them. They backed out the driveway and left. His buddy wanted to know why. He was thrilled.

A parent should do whatever they deem necessary to know, and help their child. If they feel it needed to review information that personal, they should never reveal that fact. You have to know what is going on in their lives & mind in order to give them the guidance & leadership they need. Now they all have so much outside influence, it is hard to know all the stuff they may be having to deal with. You may not have any other way to learn those things. To just read their innermost thoughts would be wrong, unless you use it to help yourself be more connected, and helpful to them.

My neighbor & a lot of her friends do. You could come play bridge with them, and bring your Mom & daughter to play with me. Her sister just visited for 6 weeks, and brought 2 of her grandchildren with her. They spoke German, Russian and English. WOW! What lucky children to actually be raised speaking 3 languages.

I used them for many years and as the stylist becomes more advanced in their system, the prices go up. I cannot comprehend paying $180.00 for cut, color & highlights from ANYWHERE! Plus the tips for the 3 or 4 people that worked on it. THE STAFF WAS a pretty interesting freak show though.

Well if you are taking votes, I will also chime in my total appreciation for Jeanette @ Salon J. Her salon & Allon Salon are in the same developement. Go talk to them both and make your own decision. Jeanette is by appointment only, so call her to make sure she is in before you go. 770-842-4510 I drive from Cartersville for her!

"Same road, same rules, same rights" is bullcrap! They do not have to pay for insurance, tags or tax on the bikes. They do not even have to pass a driving test, or have a license. They impede traffic without being ticketed. They also make the road dangerous for others. This area was never set up for bike traffic the way a lot of areas are. It might be nice if it was, but for now it is hard to deal with the bikes in our high traffic areas.

I could not imagine anything more horrible for a parent to go through. So very sad.

Win a few million? I'd have to cut back on a few things, but I'd get by just fine.

Ok I hope Lucky is better soon. But for now, everyone just bring your food, drinks, swimsuits, fishing poles, porta-johns and come on up to my house.

There would not be a single improvement to my commute. I don't care to pay for street cars in Atlanta. I also don't care if they connect to Marta. I do not care to subsidize the Marta transport system anyway. Not a single project will be finished for many years. No project is guaranteed to get done at all. Very few projects are even hoped to be done in our area. Enough of our tax dollars are already being misused. You can throw all the money you want at a problem, and it will still never be improved without proper planning & supervision. Go ahead.....guess how I am voting

Sharri I love you, and will see you soon. I am so sorry for your loss. Your father was a wonderful man. I know he is going to be sorely missed by many.

Tags! Tickley, dangling tags. Itchy scratchy tags. Rough, chew through your skin, tags Tags sewn in with thread that you could catch a 10 pound fish with. Tags that they hide in the side of shirt that keep scratching and tickling. They even have tags that have an extra button sewn on them.

I really never thought I would either.

Lived in Paulding County in several locations for over 50 years. Also my parents are from Cobb & Paulding, grandparents from Paulding & Cobb, great-grandparents from Paulding. But I live in Cartersville since Paulding threw me out. I am still related to a lot of Paulding residents. I know most all areas of the county and a lot of it's history. I am thankful for P.com every day.

Resourses: Women Who Are Or Have Been In Abusive Relationships
krwills replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I certainly hope that the PCSO does more to help the women now, than they did when I went through it. I had my door kicked in, all phones pulled from service, my head beat in the floor a gun held to my head most of the night. I already had a restaining order against this person and called the SO he pulled in my driveway. At one point I was able to pull away, grab the gun and throw it out the door. After daylight, the officer pulled into my yard. The person saw them coming and started to leave. He calmly walked over to his gun, picked it up and started to get into his car. I had to plead -
That's better than the rotisserie!

I BELIEVE IT IS CALLED A MONEY PIT! It is my understanding there is no water available on the site. It was intended to be filled with water from the Etowah River, which is in an area that will not be acceptable to pump from. There is some sort of regulation about not being able to do an interbasin transfer of water. ??? Some sort of EPA violation? I never saw any type of plans on where the pipline was even going to be run. I am not sure how you can say you are going to fill a resevoir from a river and have no plans for the pipeline easement. There are a lot of things that were NOT well

My mother in law!! She did get rid of her stove though. She said it took up too much room. She'd rather cook on a fire in the yard. No room for a sofa or chairs either, although she does have a kitchen table under the crap......somewhere. She cannot even get into her bedroom. Not the place to go for Sunday dinner, no doubt!
