So let's get down to brass tacks - election fallout
cobb transplant replied to kcarlsonlpn's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Hey, you forgot to say that maybe it was an accident. Maybe they meant to vote for commissioners that were in favor but got confused at the poll. Yeah, that's it. Because it couldn't be that they didn't want an airport. -
Just VOTED for PROGRESS IN PAULDING!

whoa whoa whoooooooaaaaaa...y'all take it down a notch...you lost, it's going to be a track for various motorsports now. Okay? No biggie. Unlike that airport nonsense, real private sector jobs come with Formula 1. Now move y'alls planes back to Cartersville where they were before and play nice. -

Oh here we go....Protect Paulding from Formula 1. You can forget it, we already have the straightway in place...it's a done deal. -

I heard Formula One is coming back to 'Merica. In the off season, there going to be a mud-bog over on the unfinished runway extension. The whole world is coming to Paulding for the races - and they're gonna take a cab from the Atlanta Airport. -

I think we just got a hurrumph out of that guy. ^^^^^^^^^

I will vote for anyone that will do everything possible to turn the airport into a giant park-ride lot for people commuting from north on 278. Or a drag-strip. I know there's a lot of people with phony-baloney jobs with huge salaries and important sounding titles that panic at this.

Wow. You talked to 13 people that will profit from a looting of the county and amazingly they were all in favor. We're all so impressed. -

Let me get this straight, it was voted down and they built it anyway...buuuuuuut, that was when the county only had 70K voters so that majority didn't count? Please inform us, what is the minimum population for which a majority at the poll should count? -

The "misinformed few" caused the airport referendum to fail in a public vote in 1998. They built it anyway. The only thing they are misinformed about is the fact that the general public has no say in what will happen in their community. -
anybody know the background story on the public safety director in Cobb resigning?

I cannot believe that any adult would expect anything less from a gov't run service.
-
holy cow...I have a hard time believing (as much as I think he is over his head) that the President would okay the dispatch of the park police to close a park that has no federal employees or funding. That had to be the decision of some idiot bureaucrat within the park police department that thought he was helping his hero (Obama).

If the government shuts down, who do you blame?
cobb transplant replied to kwood's topic in RECENT TOPICS
oddly, there is not a peep when your local gov't does the same thing for lack of money. Both Cobb and Paulding have recently shut down offices and furloughed employees in order to cut spending back to the level of money available. Those cuts hit closer to home - and yet it would seem the world did not end. -
here's an example of how well France is working: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124958049241511735.html If you're just going to make things up, at least make it interesting.

We (conservatives) are capable of insuring our family and don't need help such as Obamacare. There's a fact for you. I'd stay and try to keep you entertained before you slip into your self-induced coma - but I have to go to work to pay for your Obamaphone.

Reading...you should try it.

as an example: http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2013-01-03/frances-health-care-system-is-going-broke I could go on with your list - but it's too boring. And in your case, It'd be like trying to teach my dog algebra. It's not your fault, I'm sure your Dem handler hasn't told you Europe is broke.
