I think people are mostly in the middle; but conservative on some issues and maybe liberal on other issues. Newt is out of touch if he thinks he can win a national election. Maybe it is all about shaping the Republican platform. Looking for an election win or a seat at the table?

Why punish these students? The school system offers the classes. The students pass the classes. The students have the credits to graduate. The students don't pass one section or more on one test so they don't graduate? Why do the classes offered by the school fail to prepare the students to pass the test? Why isn't the body of work of a student over 4 years more important than one test? I don't know of too many social studies jobs out there even in a good economy; exccept teaching social studies.
