for internet i have had less than 4 hours outage with comcast in 3 years. did switch to at&t dsl for 2 months, with a 6 day outage, which caused me to go back to comcast. can't comment on the tv side, since i don't watch much broadcast tv any way. any tv i watch is either via hulu, or download the shows directly.

metro has the lg optimus on sale for 99....ok mid range phone......but the problem with metropcs is that they tell you they are 3g, which is a bit of a lie....they are 3g, but first generation, with speeds of about 200kbps in this area. that may or may not be a deal breaker for you but it was for me.....for the same or less price i can get 10 tines the data speed through virgin mobile. it all depends on your use of the phone.....metropcs worked great for voice in this area, but the data speed was prettty bad if you need voice and data i would look at another provider than metropcs

i would try the CyanogenMod on the phone. the instructions are pretty clear on their website, and if not i would be willing to help(and we have at least one other person here that has done the mod, he might volunteer also) if that doesn;t work i would change providers. i have had very good luck with sprint in this area (virgin mobile also uses the sprint network) depending on the usage virgin mobile has 300 voice minutes\unlimited data for 25 per month, 50 per month unlimited voice and data. if you are thinking about changing to them i would wait a couple more weeks virgin mobile will start se

with that phone i assume you are on either t-mobile or at&t. i had so many problems with at&t in this area with connectivity that i finally gave up using them for a carrier. that is a good phone hardware wise, and there is a cyanogenmod release for it. cyanogenmod is an open sourced version of android, which uses android 2.3 (at least with cm7) rather than 2.2 (which is cm6). 2.3 is a bit faster, and bug fixes are addressed faster that the os provided by the vendor. pretty straight forward upgrade, even if you are not real computer savy. step by step instructions are availabl
