  1. lack a sack, lack a sack, lack a sack. That's got a nice ring to it! I think the positive & negative buttons are lame, mice elf. But, hell...I'll give you one in the spirit of things.
  2. Small fry's fall festival tonite. Camping at Sarah's Creek tomorrow night with friends. Wooooo, it's gonna be chilly! Sunday... FALCON'S FOOTBALL!!
  3. I have only been out of work since the end of August, and after beating the pavement & sending out 100 resumes later, I have decided to do just that. I have worked since I was 15 years old..even while in school. I've decided that I will continue to send out resumes, but just not sweat it. UI is tough to live off of, but it's manageable. Maybe learning to budget what I now have to work with, will be a plus when I do find the job that fits me...monitarily & personality wise. I know my value..and someone WILL see it. Not that I wouldn't take a lesser paying job than I had before to at lea
  4. Neither is lyposuction....which is looking like more of a possibility for these thighs.
  5. I have the same problem. Someone told me that if you pee around the perimeter of your yard, that it would keep the armadillo out. Never got around to having the boys spray the edge of the yard (or, any more than usual, lol), but my boyfriend is on the lookout to put a cap in it's a**. My back yard is a land mine of holes!!
  6. I'll be 38 next weekend. I, too, look forward to every birthday. I actually celebrate as long as I can get away with it. I ♥ me!! And, like you, AGG, I love everything about getting older...minus the slight physical changes (which could probably be corrected with a little exercise-WHOA, what's that?? lol) Doesn't hurt to have my fabulous young hunk of a bf to make me feel all the more youthful.
  7. I only *wish* I didn't have to wash everything, every time. My dear 9 yo daughter feels the need to change clothes throughout the day, and it all gets thrown in the hamper. On the other hand, my 16 yo son hardly ever throws his stuff in the laundry. I have to round his up. I guess I'm guilty mice elf.....something about the freshness of clean clothes. The laundry pile NEVER goes away.
  8. And, since when did it become "rule of thumb" to not give straws with your drink. I hold a grudge against McD's for this. Chik-fil-A...MY pleasure. You mean, too "zalty"? lol
  9. LOL!! Congrats Hornets! That Meg gal really cracked me up!!
  10. There has been an accident on 61 N before A&R. Boyfriend says a car of young people T-boned a suburban type vehicle. Traffic is backed up and being redirected thru the store parking lot somehow. He says it looks like everybody involved is ok. FYI...
  11. That's what is going through MY mind! ELEVEN YEARS OLD!!! My daughter is ten, and I simply can't wrap my brain around the fact that this really happens with children so young. It just doesn't register with me. Goes back to my constant query...Where the hell are the parents of these children? My child's backback is gone through every afternoon & morning before we leave for school.
  12. If it stays clean, that will be all the thanks I need! Parks & Rec went down there initially, added the picnic table & a friggin' Weber grill ???(which has barely made it past a couple of vandlisms)..and really, haven't seen them since. We live VERY close & like to stroll down there often. When my BF found a darn crack chalet (sp) by the picnic table, we decided we had to do SOMETHING more than just pick up. Enter the signs. It really is a nice, cool place to go. And, if you're into the whole Geocaching thing...I think there are a couple of treasures somewhere out there.~
  13. Sorry to the OP for the hijack on the falls, but, hey...nows the time to take a stroll on down. There's now a little bit of water falling, as before the weekends rain it was dry as a bone...and it's actually pretty clean! Maybe the signs are opening eyes....
  14. My kiddos & I have posted signs at the waterfall (last week), and cleaned up everyone's mess for the last time, I hope. If you bring it with you, take it back. Or, even better...take an extra plastic bag or two, and pick up if you see any trash. It's apparently up to the citizens to keep our natural beauty clean.
  15. And, my topic is changed because i put the name of the band in the topic? Lame. Athens was a great period. When the boys were rough and raw. I do really like Jimmy Herring, though Mikey will always be the man.
  16. I've seen these guys SO many times in SO many places since '95. I think my fave venue so far has got to be in Orange Bch, AL, at the Wharf.
  17. I'm pretty stoked about this weekend! My wonderful BF bought us tickets to go see one of my favorite bands this weekend @ Verizon Wireless Amphitheater...WIDESPREAD PANIC! Just booked us a room where one of my besties and her hubby are staying, so we are getting ready for a MUCH NEEDED overnight getaway. Anyone here know of the band or share the love for live music? I'd like to hear from y'all...Does music soothe your soul like it does mine? I know all the stress from the horrible economy, just getting laid off, and other daily yucks will be lightened for me after this weekend.
  18. LOST, definitely. I just expected so much more. Frustrating, but alas, almost forgotten.
  19. Well, I guess this is as good a time as any....I haven't logged onto p.com in AGES. Some ol timers may remember me, but I really just want to ease my way back in anew. *pm me if you want to know my prior sn from back in the beginning of p.com*. I, too, went to log in the other day and couldn't remember jack about email, login, pw or the like, since it's been a few years. SO, I decided to start up a new one. Just got laid off a couple of weeks ago, and wasn't able to post from work (for undisclosed reasons), and really, if y'all know me, might know why I've stayed away for a while. Anyhoo....
