Just ask any Douglasville police officer. This is how I find out about all of the crime that the locals do not hear about. There is a web site(I forget the name of it right off hand) that shows all of the crime in the city limits of Douglasville. I saw it posted on a Douglasville crime blog awhile back. My brother is a Sgt. with the DVPD. Most of the arrests at the actual mall or surrounding businesses are also committed by those who do not even live in Douglas co.

Tell her to check out craigslist. I saw a couple of customer service positions on there. If I am not mistaken there was a listing on there for a company in Woodstock that I saw. I am in the same boat. I have even been applying for seasonal work at this point, but still no calls for interviews yet. I have found that the older we get, the harder it is on us. I go into many places and they have young workers who have zero knowledge about anything, or you get rude workers. There are way too many people out here looking for work right now, who would smile at all times and show courtesy to everyone

I hated working at the mall. You see I worked for JC Penneys, and I was working in Carrollton. Well they decided to open a store up in Arbor Place, and closed down the store I had been working at. I worked at Arbor Place for about 2 yrs., and then ended up leaving. There were times that I could not even find a parking spot during busy times. I never had that issue in Carrollton. Nothing like parking on the other side of the mall and having to walk to your car alone at 1am, with no security in sight. Sorry for not getting back before now. She came home yesterday evening. She left with a friend, and did not ask nor inform her parents that she was going anywhere. She didn't answer her cell phone all day either, so they were in panic mode. Her Mom grounded her when she got home.

1st things 1st, DO NOT get your high school kid a porsche. My kids took drivers ed. training which was offered free to Douglas co. residents. They get into a simulator and it simulates different driving conditions. To me the graduated drivers license law did not do what the state hoped it would do. Too many teens are still dying, and most of the time it all boils down to excessive speed and inexperience. My Daughters both drive and (knock on wood) nothing on their driving record.

I am wanting to move out of Douglas co. due to the chaos the mall has brought here. Believe me you will hate it. I know most of you have seen how horrible the traffic is here on Hwy 5, Douglas Blvd and Chapel Hill Rd. I know you have all seen how bad Barrett Pkwy is as well. Hiram traffic is already pretty congested. You do not even want to imagine what it will look like if you build a mall there. Actually Gary has been working for quite awhile now. I do not know why the show continues to portray him as unemployed, but he works as a CNA. Yes she does. I am leaning more towards a meth addiction, only because I had a family member addicted to it. A lot of similarities there. Her Mom has that meth look. Her face is all sunken in and she has places on her face. They say those addicted to meth pick at their faces, because they feel like their skin is crawling. I think that Catelynns Mom is either a drunk or on meth. I can't quite decide which one just yet. I now see a side to Farrah that makes me understand her more. That's sad, isn't it? They could be anywhere and anything could have happened to them. Nobody knows, since they haven't called their parents to say that they are safe. I think personally being that they are minors and technically considered missing(run away or not), the media should atleast post their pictures and ask if anyone has seen them to call the Paulding Co. sheriffs dept. juvenile division. I can not even imagine what all of these parents have been going through with the numerous run a way cases just this past month on this forum. My heart goes out to them.

Sprint does have pretty shoddy service areas.My phone roamed a good portion of our trip to Gatlinburg 2 months ago.You'd think along a major interstate you'd have continuous service, but I guess not. I want out of my contract bad, so I can get a cheaper pre pay plan. $175 a month is insane when I come to think of it. I am kicking myself in the butt for getting a contract phone through sprint. For 2 phones our bill is $175 a month. People are telling me for less than $100 a month me and my husband could both get metro pcs giving us unlimited texts, minutes and web access. Being that I am with sprint which has no sim card, I was told I could take my existing phones to metro pcs to avoid buying 2 more cell phones.
