  3. Do you know I am trying to start up many different networks in paulding county to help people with mental health disabilites or addictions. With that said after the meeting it has become somewhat apparent that many people are paying alot for services or are not recieving services because ins will not pay, or having problems finding services locally that accept medicare or medicaid. If you are, or know of an individual that is having these type of issues please contact me. especially those from birth to 65. Please contact me with any questions. If you are struggling Please Let Me Know!
  4. I just wanyed to say thanks for everyone that came to the event last night at the theater for special needs. Please Be sure to keep talking about this. The only way we will better our community for the special needs is to voice our needs as a group. We can get results. I did not get many people to sign up wanting support groups or interested in friend networking. I am willing to get this going but I cant do it with no-one coming forward. Please cantact me with any questions.
  5. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I can't begin to tell you how to cope, as a mother of 4. However I have to lost 5 babies one when I was pretty far along, then almost lost my first born. In fact when they did an emergency c-section the doctors told me that he would not survive the surgery. However he did survive. The only thing I can sugest to you is to not remain silent, don't try to forget your son and think of ways to contact others from now and forever to share your experiance and help them as well in your son's honor.
  6. Sorry I some how missed your question. But yes. My 6 year old recieved the mist at the doctors a month before he got sick. She told me it would give him some protection but I needed to take him to have the mist again in 6 weeks. I think she said. My oldest was sick with it for about 4 days with high fever then it tapered off. My 6 year old ran a non stop fever for 7 days straight. Thank god he is better now and back at school. Honestly I don't think I am to worried about getting the mist again. It may just be a coinsidence, who knows. [q uote name=Soa
  7. Good Evening I just wanted to apologize for not posting a whole bunch this week but I have had sick kids. Between that and working two jobs from home and volunteering with the board for special needs trying to get this function all ironed out . I really hope a lot of the public is going to show. There is going to be a lot of really good information. Plus I am really trying to get the friends networking set up as well and if I don't have people there it will just not work. My son is 15 and has Autism, PDD, OCD, ADHD and I know how much he can use some friends that he can connect with. I
  8. My 6 year old had the mist 1 month ago, and out of 4 kids he was the one that got it the worst. My oldest had The Swine a month ago and my 6 year old got sick last week and has been sick now longer than my oldest. I was told that just after the first dose it gives you some protection but not much you have to have multiple doses over a few months. I hope she feels better Nasty Virus
  9. I just wanted to bring to to the table anyone who has Autism in their family whether it is mild or severe, The info you will get at The Dallas theater on Nov 3rd is in my opinion especially helpful to you. One of the biggest problems with Autism in the less severe cases is the fact that unless someone knows the child, just by looking at them you cant tell. With this in mind they have a lot harder of a time in social settings, because of this they don't get the positive interaction. The more people that come to this meeting to help develop this network the bigger success this will be. Its free
