Have you ever heard someone say thank you and include something along the lines of "you didn't have to go to all the trouble" or " Thank you but you didn't need to do that"? The answer was always "No problem" or "It was no problem, glad to help, happy to help, etc, etc" (or something like that). That's where it came from.

IMO it's important in the USA for the same reason that St. Patrick's Day is. It's a day to have fun, drink and either celebrate your national heritage or borrow someone else's for the day.

I know, it's terribly high. It's close by though and they take exceptional care of my two emotional basket cases. Previously, I paid about half that, roughly $30 per night, for both dogs at Hiram Animal Hospital. They had a concrete run, no sofa, no tv and they were apart in different areas but they were ok. It just depends on what you want.

My daughter looks just like me I'm told. When I look at her, I see a lot of my mother in her. I guess that means that all three of us look a lot alike. My daughter can look and me and her grandmother and can tell what she'll look like in 25 and then 50 years. Poor thing!

I use the kennel at New Georgia Animal Hospital also. I think it's called BowWowMeow. I have a large 65 lb dog and small 12 lb dog. I ask for the luxury suite and the dogs share the suite (and the sofa at bedtime). It costs me $60 per day for the two of them but I know they are taken care of, have plenty of room, are eating well and able to stay together and keep each other company so it's worth it to me. The kennel feeds them Hills Science Diet and it is included in the price. Having the vet next door is a plus too.

What a great kid (and a great mom for encouraging him to do this)! Please tell him thank you from me. I love to see kids that have a strong sense of community and compassion for others. Life is a lot easier when we're all in this together and help one another. What an important life lesson he learned that day.

WHY do you care so very much why someone else wants to watch two people get married? Nobody has to articulate their WHY to you or their who, what or how for that matter. If you don't get the answer that you want out of someone, insulting them isn't going to green light them into seeing your point. According to WSB, the police can use force to regain control of a situation if they feel they need to. Someone that was at the table with the girl in the video said it all started when the police asked them to quiet down. Apparently the girls did not want to be quiet.

If people want to gawk at a beautiful wedding dress that they can't afford, let them do it if it makes them happy. They don't need to defend their desire to do so. Live and let live. I personally think Charlie Sheen is a waste of flesh and not worth the tons of press that he was given. However, if somebody else is interested in every little thing he does, that's fine with me. We all have different likes, dislikes and tastes. Our diversity is what makes the world go round everyday.

Thank you all for your suggestions. The neurosurgeon has nixed flying of any kind and we'll definately look into something like Metro or Clark when the time comes. Unfortunately almost everyday is another setback and today is no exception. I really wish that they had decided on Emory. It's hard to have your mother 11 hours away when she's scared and wondering if her husband is going to make it.
