  1. I give up stuff so that my daughter can have firstly, what she needs and secondly, what she wants (within reason). I would never thinking of taking something from her. That thought would never cross my mind.
  2. She was on the younger side of life. Not a teenager but somewhere in her 20's or even possibly her very early 30's.
  3. It is in Stockbridge. I lived there for years. There is a gated Eagles Landing subdivision with a country club and golf course that has expensive homes in it. Is that what you are talking about? Or are you talking about the area in general?
  4. They sound like little girls, don't let them drag you onto the playground. You're much nicer than I am. When they started giggling like middle schoolers I would have just asked them what was so damn funny.

    WTH

They've been talking about this in the media. Direct TV and ViaCom haven't been able to reach an agreement on a new contract. The old one just expired.
  6. I've got nothing in south Paulding. As usual, rain all around & we're dry as a bone.
  7. I thought you were talking about BB King playing at Chastain.
  8. But what if this family of three has no desire to live with another "family" of four? Perhaps they don't want to have seven people living in their home. You can't just move people into someone's home with no prior discussion or agreement. To do so, regardless of the circumstances, is at best rude and that's putting it nicely. If I am the homeowner, then I decide what goes on in my home and who can stay there. Those decisions belong to the homeowner, not anyone else. Opening your home to one friend who needs help is a far different matter than being hoodwinked into allowing a family of four to
  9. That was the funniest thing I've seen in forever! I was laughing my head off at my desk to point where people were staring at me. The funniest thing of all is that it's right on target.
  10. I'll bet you $1 that the girlfriend doesn't have her own place. She & the kids probably live with her parents or in another roommate situation.
  11. Good Lord, people have a lot of damn nerve. My neighbor had this happen to him a couple of months ago but it was the roommate's girlfriend only, no kids. He spoke up on the third day and said get your stuff and go to YOUR home because this ain't it. Then he told the room mate that if he didn't like it, he could go with her. Roommate tried it again a couple of weeks later and he threw him out for good. Some people will walk all over you and take advantage of you if your let them. It may be uncomfortable for some people to speak up but if you don't, you become their door mat. That man should be
  12. Use hem tape. I have some called Heat Bond (or something like that) You iron it on and it keeps your "hem" in place for quite a while. Mine usually lasts several months then I just do it again when it starts to come apart. I got it in the sewing section at Walmart. I have a brand new roll of it and will share some if you want it.
  13. Nope. I would still have to answer to myself even if no one else ever knew.
  14. Shopping on King Street, going to the beach on Sullivan's Island or Isle of Palms, take the ferry to Fort Sumter, tour the plantations, go out to Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant and tour the air craft carrier and the submarine, Charles Towne Landing, ghost tours......
  15. I'm sending you an email. I want some of the retired scents that are available beginning Sunday.
  16. It wasn't a craze that I'm talking about, but a lifestyle. There was no such thing as casual dress where I worked. Men still put on a suit with a tie every morning and headed out to the office. Even if the sport jacket ended up on a hanger on the back of the office door or on the back on the chair, they still dressed up every Monday through Friday. They dressed in suits and ties on Sunday mornings too. Well at least they did where I lived, worked and hung out.
  17. I wasn't around to witness the 1880's but I clearly remember the 1980s.
  18. I very much prefer a well dressed man over a man in a g-string. Let's go back to the 80's when most people still dressed up. And Robert Palmer wore a suit on stage to perform. Now he was a good looking, sharp dressed, sexy man in his day.
  19. Then you should be ok w/ no pantyhose. My brother is in contracting with the Air Force and they are a pretty laid back group of people. The reason that I asked that question is that some (heavy emphasis on the word *some*) people in older generations still wear pantyhose and still think that a bare leg in the workplace is inappropriate. I had this conversation with my mother. She told me to go put on some pantyhose and when I told her that people didn't wear hose anymore, she and her friends (of her same age group) answered "oh yes they do".
  20. What kind of company or organization is the interview with?
  21. I worked at Delta and Travelport during Clinton's term and George W's term so I was there for both democrat and republican Presidents. I saw Air Force one land over by the Air Cargo terminal many times for both of them. They both always had rolling road blocks. Sometimes it was for fundraising on both sides of the political coin. Our airport was known as the busiest airport in the world for most of that time even back then. Before 9/11, you could actually get close enough to the Air Cargo terminal to stand at the fence and watch them deplane. It's been like this for ages and isn't anything new
  22. Load everybody in the car and have it at one of the squares in Savannah. You just need to get a permit.
  23. I went on a great vacation several years back to Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. It is beautiful out there. The Garden of the Gods was breath takingly awesome. I hope everyone gets out ok and no one is injured.
