  1. THANK YOU so much for helping! We appreciate it so much!!!! Yes, I do remember seeing you today!!!! Thank you so much for your kind words! 2010 will be an awesome year! Lots of exciting things are coming! Are you on our mailing list??? It was great to see you all, too! You had a great spot to watch the parade!!!! Uh... the swing sold today! Thank you! Thank you!!! Thank you.. it was so much fun!!!!
  2. These are a few of our friends through Taylor's P.A.L.S. & The Paulding Navigator Team. We all enjoyed the parade so much and even walked away with the Corporate 3rd Place Ribbon!!!! Our float theme was "Joy is... Jesus Loves Me Just The Way I Am".
  3. I went several years ago and LOVED IT!!!!!!!!! You are so lucky! I would love to go again!!! Sit back and enjoy every minute of it!
  4. You'll need a lot.... We are the first in line of floats and passing out bags to put the candy in once they get it. We are planning for 2000 bags... but have about another 1000 just in case.
  5. I hope many of you will come out to see me this weekend! We've got to move this stuff... and there's LOTS of great deals!!!
  6. Madea, thanks for that link! I think they are preparing a new list to come out soon. The one just beyond the hospital...
  7. Public Hearing NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO SOLICIT INPUT ON THE STATE'S AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT NEEDS The Consolidated Plan describes Georgia's existing housing conditions and how the state, local, private and federal resources will be used to address the identified needs. A key component in the successful development of the Consolidated Plan 2010-2013 and Annual Action Plan for FFY2010 is the public input and direction provided by the citizens of Georgia. The State has scheduled four public hearings to solicit this input on the state's affordable housing and comm
  8. Mrs G... I was at a meeting recently where someone from the Catholic church in Dallas was speaking about how much they give out each month to families... I was amazed that they aren't more visible in the county.. trying to get donations as much as they give out. Also, First Baptist Church of Dallas, Bethany Christian Church, and I believe New Georgia Baptist Church all have food pantries.
  9. LOL Yes, IMAGINE! LOL I've got a truckload coming in on Friday! I've had more than one person tell me I need to stop taking donations... but I... just... can't... do... it! I've got some volunteers coming in this weekend and that will be a HUGE help! We've truly been blessed to have so many give so much... THANK YOU for all you and the General have done!!!!!
  10. Great! Thank you for offering!!!! Thank you Madea... Thank you! Now I'll have time to come and visit you again! If you have anything that comes in that would be good for the children I work with... please let me know! THANK YOU! Tell everyone to come and see us before we close!
  11. I'm so sorry... prayers said for you all...
  12. Believe me.. .it is with mixed feelings for me as well... just got to keep my eyes on the goal...
  13. I TOTALLY agree with you! I don't have much respect for a man that says... I let my family down and they didn't deserve it.. AFTER they are caught. I think men like this are ONLY sorry they were caught or they wouldn't have been doing it to start with. Scum.....
  14. Thank you all... just tell EVERYONE you know to come and see us these last 4 weeks! We need to move it out and do as well as we can for the program. We really do have some awesome deals.
  15. Thank you so much! I signed a 6 month lease to see where we were headed by that time. It's become very apparent what the needs are and meeting as many of those needs as we can.. is the priority. I'm very excited about what we've accomplished and what's opening for the future. I've just reached the point where fine-tuning is the smart thing to do and it will free so much of my time to do what needs to be done.
  16. Thank you so much, but I've given my notice to the landlord already. I've gone strong and hard for the past 6 months and started looking at my original goals of programs and services to provide. I began to realize that other than the workshops once a month, they all occur outside of the office... at churches, at schools, in homes, and soon to be at the Parks & Rec Department. While the store has taken care of the overhead expenses, it's been hard only being open three days a week. People have been screaming for us to open all week and I simply can't do it. Contrary to what some folks
  17. That's right... Taylor's P.A.L.S. Thrift Store is closing! We have grown so much within our programs and services that I can no longer do both the store and the programs that we provide. The store has done well within the last few months to pay the overhead, but it's become a full time job in itself and there's just not enough hours in the day! We will be closing the end of December! The great news is this.... Everything the store makes between now and the end of the month will be clear profit! We now have our incorporation and the funds to apply for our non-profit status. There are
  18. I don't presently know a boy that young with cancer... but I work with babies with developmental delays and have several families that could use it if you still have it.
  19. Thank you so much!!! Back at cha!!!!!
  20. Point of clarification.. there is no more room in the inn... (on the float)... anyone that comes, please know that you and whoever you bring will be walking. If you have small children, a stroller would be great!
  21. Yes, but I would suggest having them in a stroller if possible. We've discussed this at length and at first had decided to have all the small kids on the float just for safety concerns... but later decided we'd leave it up to their parents what they are comfortable with. We feel that it will be hard to pass out bags and run after small children, but we'd love to have you all walk with us even if you aren't giving out bags. Please be there no later than 1:30. Also wear a red shirt and a Santa hat if possible. Thanks!
  22. We Wish You A Merry Christmas (Wii) We Wish You A Merry Christmas is a mini game collection. It's got 6 mini games, although they have a bunch of fun activities on there, too. Candy Cane Lanes is a Bowling game similar to Wii Sports. The Elves are the pins, and when you hit them, they fall into a bottomless pit. Don't worry, though. It says that the ball tickles the elves. This minigame has the exact same controls as the original Wii Sports. Hot Chocolate is kind of like the Cooking Mama series. You are supposed to make the elves Hot Chocolate. Each elf wants hot chocolate with specific in
