  1. Mine was in Smyrna, not the one we both went to. It is now a Hispanic church. Now, back to the topic that was posted.
  2. In the interest of fair play, I would like to note that Mr. Crowe did call me and offer to meet me at my convenience, not his. I appreciate his taking the time to call me and his offer to meet with me. As I do with many of the candidates running in all of the elections, I wish Mr. Crowe the best.
  3. Nah, he didn't have to, he had a gang. Just kidding, it's a joke.
  4. I bet the parishioners at this church in Aurora, CO are glad there was someone with a gun in church. http://www.thenewame...e-other-ignored
  5. I will be happy to send you a PM so that you can pass it on to The Great and Powerfull OZ, oh wait wrong movie, and you can have Mr Crowe ask ME when I can make time for him to beg me to hire him.
  6. I have no axe to grind with Mr. Crowe, but I am just a little curious, isn't Mr. Crowe asking that I trust him to be Chairman of the Board of Commisioners for my county (Paulding). So if he is asking that I trust him enough to hold this very important office, where decisions are made that affect not only me but my family for years to come, why does he have to have a "middle man" to respond to those that have questions for him. I have to "schedule" a meeting to ask someone who is coming to ME, hat in hand, begging for ME to hire him? (and don't say he isn't begging, they are all begging for v
  7. As this is a conversation with someone running for a political office and what they have to say on the issues, whether it is in a one on one conversation or in a public forum, is something that all the voters have a right to know. I do not see this as being unethical.
  8. Huh...That's exactly what my wife said to me the other night.
  9. Congrats to Pubby and family, grandkids are a lot of joy and happiness.
  10. 4. Mothers who discipline their children loudly on cellphones, so everyone within a mile can hear them doing so...as if that makes them a good mother. (sorry, I just had to do it)
  11. Wow! She looks exactly like my 3rd wife. It is uncanny. Boy is my 2nd wife gonna be upset when she finds out we're getting divorced.
  12. While I have many laws I would pass, this is one of them. You cannot wear your pants between your waist and your knees, pants must be worn at the waist, the way God intended when he made pants.
  13. One of my oldest and dearest friends is that way. If you bought a brand new car for $10, he would say something like; "you should have called me, I know a guy that would have paid you $10 to take the same car." We never tell him how much something cost, upside is, us not telling drives him crazy.
  14. freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose That is what Janice and Kris told me also. "and nothin' was all that Bobby left me" What talents.
  15. Concerning an individual owning a semi-automatic gun, I am going to let that go, as you obviously have no knowledge about guns. (not an insult, no reason why you should unless you own, have owned or use guns in your work, for hunting or for sport shooting) As far as pricing on ammo going up after the last pres. election, that is just a fact. Many factors played into it; cost of raw materials increased, law of supply and demand and a few other factors. Many people were trying to stock up on ammo before the next price increase and the stores were often out of stock. I tried to buy 9mm am
  16. I understand what you are saying. As I said, please feel free to do whatever you can if someone has my rather large posterior in their sights. You do not have to be a great shot to hit a target as big as mine.
  17. I can take it that you prefer to be unarmed, as that was all my question was. By the way, if someone is shooting at me and you have a gun, please feel free to try and stop the person shooting at me. I would prefer someone do something rather than just be shot down while some could have but didn't try and stop it.
  18. What "fire power" is that? I may be wrong, but as I understand it he had two hand guns, a shotgun and a semi-automatic rifle. (by the way, all semi-automatic means is that when you fire the gun, the fired shell is ejected and a new "bullet" is chambered, then all that is required to fire the gun again is to "pull" the trigger, many rifles, shotguns and handguns are made in semi-automatic, these guns are used both in hunting and sport shooting) Most who own more than a two or three guns have a couple of pistols, a semi-automatic rifle and a shotgun, including hunters, sport shooters and gun
  19. If a slap to the head worked, I would have been cured a long time ago. I really do try and watch it and I have got better at not doing it, at least I think I have. I know it's bad, believe me, I know. I will still buy lunch.
  20. I do not intend to get into your supposition that all who carry weapons are not familier or trained with those weapons. I am just going to give you a very short answer to your question, nope. I am also going to ask you a question; I have a gun and I am shooting at you and your family, do you want to be armed or unarmed? Simple question, no what if this or what if that, just requires a simple answer; armed or unarmed.
  21. Is anyone aware that there was another shooting earlier this year in Aurora, Colorado? In that case, a recently released felon came into a church during a worship service and started shooting. He shot and killed one man, but was then shot and killed by another church member who was carrying a pistol. Anyone hear about that? I thought not. Here is the story: http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/crime/item/12175-two-aurora-shootings-one-widely-known-the-other-ignored
