  1. Give me a break. If the City of Dallas gave two hoots about increasing it's revenue stream, it would have taken steps to welcome and bring in new businesses to the City of Dallas. Yet, it has done the exact opposite for at least the past 23 yrs, that I'm aware of. The damn airport ain't got crap to due with the city of Dallas not having revenue. They have only themselves to blame. Funny, weird and strange how cities, that aren't the county seats, in the surrounding counties have managed to attract nice shops and wonderful restaurants to their downtown area. Well......maybe it isn't
  2. Damn! Is Greatma running the airport now? I'm fairly sure she can do as good of a job over the next ten yrs as has been done since the thing opened. You go Greatma!!!
  3. Didn't you know that Poopy is also a mind reader?
  4. Poopy, Try getting of your knees for a minute and be a man.....never mind, just try and understand that if I had a dollar for every time you posted wrong or misleading information, I would be quite wealthy. If I had another dollar for every time you got called out on posting wrong and misleading information and never apologized for deliberately lying or just plain being wrong, but tried to cover it up with your BS, "perfection eludes us all", comment, I would be twice as wealthy. Here's a question, when did you decide that the families that "run" Paulding were no longer a bad thing an
  5. One reason commercialization has never worried me, even if it wasn't tied up in the courts, by the time it got so big (if it ever actually ever did) to affect me, chances are I would either, no longer be living here, be to old to be affected much or no longer be living. My issue has never been with the commercialization, but rather, with it being done in the right way, it being a good deal for the county and it being done with a company that can handle the job. He is an engineer. His answer to me on his experience in running an airport, was none, until he took the job here
  6. I agree, 100%. I started to say something like that also, but my phone rang. I don't agree with you on everything, but I do appreciate your trying to help educate. Sadly, as long as there are human beings as parents, there will be those parents who put their own wants, needs and emotional & mental issues, before their children. But, like you said, you can't just give up.
  7. I agree 100%. That is what really ticks me off, forget the commercial part, why haven't we been doing better with the general aviation part? I guess the fact that we haven't had any type of business plan doesn't help. (yes, Mr. Swafford himself told me that there was no business plan and never had been)
  8. Wow! Really?? Just couldn't keep those conspiracy demons in your head from talking, huh? You are a sad little man that needs major help. Ready to take that lie detector test?
  9. "I was outraged at first about the sewage! I talked about it when I walked for post 2 commissioner. But since no one could ever understand what in the hell I was talking about, I got mad and now I don't care anymore." The Cajun restaurant that started in downtown Dallas in the old depot building, left downtown Dallas because the city refused to work with them or allow them to do normal business promotions. They left downtown Dallas for Hiram because the city of Dallas was so difficult to deal with. How do I know this? The owner of the restaurant told me himself when it was going on
  10. I agree that that is the basic idea, sadly it doesn't always work out that way. And I am not in anyway inferring anything about the legal issues concerning this topic, that was a comment about our system in general. But, this is the system we have and we are to accept and abide by their ruling, whichever side that ruling is for. I just wish it would get into court, get ruled on and then we can go forward.
  11. I think the quicker that we get the legal issues resolved, the quicker we can move to get this all behind us and move forward, in whatever direction we will be headed. As long as the legal stuff is hanging over everyone's heads, we are stuck and being stuck is just giving everyone a chance to stir the pot in whichever direction they think it needs stirring.
  12. Funny, people have been doing that to you, for years and years. Thus your top notch position in the media.
  13. Pubby, In a battle of wits, with anyone that can add two and two correctly, you are woefully out matched. Perhaps it is due to that lead paint you blame for crime.
  14. I'm just as much a man of my word as your buddies Calvin Thompson and David Austin. Only difference, when I change my mind, citizens of Paulding don't get..... screwed.
  15. So you ready to take that lie detector test? You would sell your soul to keep me posting here. Oooops, too late, you already sold that.
  16. "I might be forgiven under the perfection eludes us all provision." Translation - I'm usually talking out my.....
  17. And another good example of why his posts cannot be taken seriously. He might not care if it was in his back yard if he was "compensated".
  18. In any business deal, especially one entered into by those who are elected to reflect the peoples will, you have to look at several things. 1. Is it the best thing for the county? 2. Does it have the support (majority support) of the community? 3. Has the deal been made in the proper, the right and correct way? 4. Is it the best deal, that could be made, for the county and it citizens? 5. Does it match the promises that have already been made concerning previous deals? If the answers are yes, to all of the above questions, then while there may be some that don't like the deal, it s
  19. I may do that. I'm tired of my citizenship being trumped because my ex moved to Paulding with our 5 yr old son and I followed so that I could be near my son and participate in his life and growing up. While I have enjoyed my time in Paulding County, and am still enjoying my life here, I just want what apparently some people have, to be just a little more special than the average Paulding citizen.
  20. I'm not sure who I need to contact to get one of those Platinum Citizenship Cards. You know, the one that apparently means that you are more entitled than the average citizen. They seem to have them here in Paulding, cause I even heard our Chairman mentioning that he had one. Well, he didn't actually say he had a Platinum Citizenship Card, but I guess that is what he means when he keeps saying that his family has lived in Paulding and carried the tax burden for Paulding for 7 generations. And he is not the only one. A lady on a different social media, who no longer lives in Paulding, is m
  21. Over looking the personal opinions, overall, a nice recap of the airport history. (ETA, nothing wrong with having and posting personal opinions) I have a couple of questions. Do you think that Propeller is the best company for Paulding to have made a forty year deal to "run" our airport? If the answer is yes, then why yes, considering that Propeller has zero experience in "running" any type of airport? I only ask these questions, because if the airport is such a valuable asset for the county, why would we make a 40 yr agreement with an unproven company? If we were going to allow so
  22. If you talk to enough people, I think it includes everyone who has been involved in any shape fashion or form with our airport for the past 10 years, several companies based in GA, NY and all states in between and a couple of people that have never heard of Paulding County, but did build model airplanes when they were kids. In other words, I have no idea.
