  1. RUN! Umm, I mean congratulations.
  2. I deal with price increases or decreases every year. Around this time of year my customers ask us to look into our crystal ball and see what raw material costs are going to do in the next year and therefore what cost is going to be for them. I can PROMISE you that when I say we expect an increase of 8-10% and then when all shakes out and the percentage turns out to be 5%, they do not say to me when pricing is mentioned, "well, you gave us a 3-5% decrease". I PROMISE YOU they say; "we took a 5% increase". And if I mention that we thought it would be 3-5% more than it was they say; "I unders
  3. You got a little poet in ya don't you. Well said.
  4. You have to be a woman, because this is the same logic my wife uses when she buys a purse that cost $200 but she "saved" $90 dollars because it was on sale for $110. My buddy had a wife that was a master at that game, she "saved" them into losing everything. And before you ladies start taking warrants out on me , I can only speak from one side of the street, I am sure it looks the same from your side.
  5. That reminds me, how have you been feeling lately? (just kidding )
  6. These times are tough for those who are fortunate to know those who are truly special. While we are all special and unique, there are those who we all see have that certain extra specialness. When it is their time to leave us; the sun shines a little less bright, the sky is a little less blue and the grass is a little less green. The world is a little less happier place and a little worse off than it was before. Then one day, we find ourselves thinking or saying or doing something that the special person taught us. We find ourselves passing that piece of specialness to another and we
  7. This may come as a shock, but many of us still work 6 days a week, 10 or more hours a day. The more effort we put in, the more productive we are, the more our services are worth to current or prospective employers. No one forces us. (ok, I may not be working 10 hrs or more 6 days a week, but a lot people do)
  8. Hushing now, first the wife and now you. It must be me as I am the only common link between the two.
  9. There are a few reasons that people did not smile much for photos back then. One is that due to the cameras they had to remain perfectly still, so the people were "placed" in "stands" that held their bodies and heads still, this was not very comfortable. Also, they had to remain that way for quite some time, not just long enough to say cheese, and they were discouraged from smiling as it was hard to hold a smile for that long. Another reason may have been that photos were not as common as they are now so it was somewhat of a formal thing.
  10. As I said before, never should a husband and wife go to bed mad. Night Johnboy.
  11. I wish I had a president the past 4 years. I miss not having one.
  12. It could work. We all know if every part of your body is under the covers then the monsters can't get you. That's why you only make a little, little hole near your face to breath thru. PS I have several slightly used Ouija Boards for sale.
  13. I agree with everything you wrote but the last sentence; I say "come here girls!" (not real sure what I would do if they did come, but it would be a nice problem to have)
  14. The following quote was made in 1992 by Tony Wise who was an assistant coach on the '92 Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl team. "Every year in the NFL, some team's rolling along and it barely loses a game. Then it can't quite get back up for the next one. Then the schedule gets tougher and all of the sudden the team everybody thought was pretty good has lost six in a row." Tony Wise From: The Boys by Skip Bayless
  15. I went to the Urgent Care Saturday morning. I had something wrong with my head (insert joke here). The doc was a nice lady named Haines. She didn't think it was funny when I told her I loved her underwear and was wearing a pair. Thank god it wasn't my other end that needed looking at, I don't think she was inclined to be gentle.
  16. Try this at home, take your finger and write a word on your bathroom mirror or draw a smiley face. Then steam up the bathroom mirror and walla, there it is in the steam on the mirror. Sometimes those "writings" are just normal stuff.
  17. Some wonder what would they do if they saw a ghost, well I do not have to wonder, I know. When I lived in that house that I mentioned in the earlier post, I came home around 2:30am. It was winter and I had been afraid of freezing to death that night so I had taken on quite a bit of "antifreeze". Being hungry and somewhat cold, in spite of the large amount of anti-freeze, I decided to heat up some soup on the stove. When you stood at the stove and look to your left out the kitchen door, you could see some of the 3 steps that led to the hall and back to the bedrooms. You could also see some
  18. You are so right about the missed tackles, I quit counting yesterday at 10. You can tell neither team is really playing that well when you have 3 turnovers that result in only 3 points.
  19. Ohh those ghosts, always after me Lucky Charms.
  20. Loooong story. But just for you ladies I will give a small part: lights that were left on were turned off or lights that were left off were turned on, not always the same lights, some were lamps and some were light switches(it got to where we would make notes before we left the house on what, if any, lights we left on, just to make sure we were not imagining things) footsteps coming up the stairs from the basement/garage and then the doorknob to those stairs would jiggle (and I mean footsteps, not just some noises, the previous owners had nailed the windows in the basement and garage
  21. Had a ghost (or something) in a house I used to live in. Believe or not believe, didn't seem to bother the ghost or whatever it was. Doesn't bother me, I KNOW what went on for those years.
