  1. So what are ya'll saying? My scrambled duck eggs with Spam, onions and tomatoes is not high class eating? I paired it with diet coke.
  2. CORRECT on Arsnic and Old Lace However, Boris Karloff was in the play but not the movie, Raymond Massey played Karloff's role in the movie. Another great line was when Massey's character is asked why he killed someone he replies; "He said I looked like Boris Karloff". Wrong on Midnight Cowboy, a good one for that movie would be; "I'm walking here!"
  3. Five more movies. "I want you to hold it between your knees." Movie: Five Easy Pieces - Jack Nicholson "That'll be the day." Movie: The Seachers - John Wayne This line inspired the Buddy Holly hit record with the same name. "Okay, I'm Eddie Felson. I shoot straight pool." Movie: The Hustler - Paul Newman Answered by: Paxilpapa This is another movie that is loaded with great quotes, here are three. "I remember every detail. The Germans wore gray, you wore blue." "I don't mind a parasite. I object to a cut-rate one." "Of all the gin joints, in all the town
  4. Here is a hint: two gangster movies, one western, one comedy and one sci-fi.
  5. I carmalized some onions, grilled some Spam & tomatoes and scrambled the eggs. Great eating. For those who may have a comment on my Spam, hey this was major league cooking for me, so leave my Spam alone. (ok, the wife scrambled my eggs for me) Thanks, Blondie
  6. No the car is not at fault. But when you give a teenager a high performance car, you greatly increase the odds of something negative happening. While we can never totally protect our kids from life, I do feel it is my job to make decisions that help decrease the odds of something negative happening to them, not increase the odds.
  7. Just to be clear, these quotes are from 5 different movies. "Top of the World Ma!" Movie: White Heat - Jimmy Cagney Answered by: Paxilpapa This movie is full of great quotes, here are 3. "It's not dying I'm talking about, it's living." "Well, I'm glad I ain't scared to be lazy." "I'd like to see the herd that you and Jake could gather. A herd of whores...maybe." Movie: Lonesome Dove - Robert Duval & Tommy Lee Jones Answered by: janko9 "Is this the end of Rico?" Movie: Little Ceasar - Edward G. Robinson "Greetings, my friend. We are all interested in the fu
  8. Can we get that one put back in? My life would be easier.
  9. Thank you Dana for your post. It is very true.
  10. Short hijack, I guess. What's the deal Blondie and Papi? You guys got paintings in the attic that are aging for you? Now back to the wonderfull kid pictures, human and otherwise.
  11. Awww, what a cutie! (I hope you know I mean the sweet little baby) ETA: I am not sure why as a grandpa we are so proud, we didn't have anything to do with it really, but danged if we ain't proud of 'em. It shows in that picture. (I hope her 1st words are Richard Nixon)
  12. Same here, when someone ask me for money I always say; "no problem, as much as you want, just see the lady with the checkbook...Oh and good luck, I never have any."
  13. The UFO I saw was when I was a kid in Smyrna and the police said they had contacted Dobbins and Dobbins had no idea what it was either. Uncle worked for the cops. Our whole family, grandparents, cousins, aunts/uncles and neighbors saw it. Late 60's or early 70's. Thanks barrycdog, you are always so helpful.
  14. If this works it is due to LPPT bumping the old post. Our grandkids. (Not LPPT's and mine, my wife's and mine) ETA: HOORAY! Thanks LPPT! Good luck with your nuts.
  15. Never mind, the topic is not what I thought it was.
  16. That is a good day. Sooo, can I borrow 15 bucks?
  17. I would love to know when that sighting near Dobbins took place. Was it around the late 60's early 70's?
  18. One last note. The line, "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!", was used in Blazzing Saddles, but it was first used in...wait for it...The Monkees TV show and was said by Micky Dolenz.
  19. Yep, great movie, despite what my wife thinks.
  20. Sorry to hear of your loss. I remember the JC Penney outlet fondly, when it opened we didn't have to go to Marietta to shop.
  21. First and foremost, this is very sad. Second, why does the name Darwin come to my mind, again.
  22. If you are a man and don't believe men should have sex with men, then don't. If you are a woman and don't believe women should have sex with women, then don't. If you are a man or woman who wishes to have hanky panky with the same sex; great, go for it, have fun; but don't tell me it about it, unless I ask. In other words, leave me alone about your sex life whether you are straight or gay. (hmmm...if you a young good looking woman and want to tell me about your gay sex life, then that is different, ignore the above, it does not pertain to you)
