The "homeless" problem really began when they emptied the mental hospitals in the 80's saying if the people were not a danger to themselves or others you cannot keep them against their will. Of course they may not be dangerous, but they cannot take care of themselves and will not take their medication, so on the streets they go.

Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous are free and most treatment centers will send them to these programs after they leave. That being said, the Salvation Army runs a program and there is RTU in Cedartown.

I am quite sure that TP is the only person on here that has ever driven while under the influence of alcohol. Well, except for me. Way back when it was more like getting a speeding ticket if you got caught, I had more than my share of times when I drove when I shouldn't. I was lucky that nothing bad ever happened, but nowdays there are more people and things to run into than there were back then. PS I haven't drove a car after having an alcoholic drink since 1989.
