When the government is not allowed to pay the scale that attracts the best and the brightest, this is what happens. Our politicians set up a system that doesn't encourage the best to apply for Uncle Sam work. Did we not elect the very people who said government employees are overpaid?

There is a reason the Airport Authority is not under the purview of the County Commissioners. It's called the law. If you don't like what the airport authority did, there is an election every 4 years for the Commissioners. Elections have consequences. When we elect somebody, they are allowed to do things. That's the way it works.

It's not government insurance but private insurance. $500 per year with a $4500 deductible is dirt cheap. So you're not getting any insurance. That means if something happens to you and you can't pay the bill, the taxpayer will have to cover it for you. Thanks a lot.
