The schools handle education and school discipline. The legal system handles legal matters. A weapon (or not) on school grounds should be a legal matter and not an educational discipline decision. The whole reason the Republicans insisted on these Zero Tolerance laws in the 90s was to ensure consistent application of the rules. That is the reason Congress ties federal money to these laws. Doing away with the law means throwing away federal money. If that is what people want, by all means, let's get rid of the Zero Tolerance Laws. The representatives who sponsored this legislation in the GA Gen

The discretion should be left to the district attorney and judges, not the administrators.

Totally for it.

He may be guilty as homemade sin but until the jury says so, he is innocent. The lack of DFACS effort is showing the cuts in funding and the overworked staff. When government cuts funding, this is the sort of things that happens. Cases get back logged and there is not enough staff to follow up on the allegations. Social workers have been saying this for a long time.

The death penalty in Georgia still exists. Never went anywhere. A bond of $30,000 is still high. Bond is based on a large number of factors. Many innocent people are accused of murder, too, and without bond would serve a long time in jail needlessly. There is not a clear cut answer. If he is innocent, he would spend time needlessly in jail and the system should protect him, too. If he is guilty, the system should be in place to know where he is at all times.

So now we want the law re-written so administrators can accept an excuse of "Oh, I didn't realize it was there," when everyone knows the real intent? It makes dealing with weapons arbitrary. The Zero Tolerance Law means there is consistent application in all schools. The school should not have the discretion. Period. The discretion should be up to the District Attorney and the judges, not the school administrators. This is the way it is now. The last thing anyone should want is the favoritism showed an athlete or some other favored student. The Zero Tolerance Laws need to remain exactl

Conspiracy theories abound.

The Airport Authority negotiated the contracts as all contracts are negotiated. This is how business is conducted. There are non-disclosure agreements that must be followed or there will never be any business here ever. Contracts and the laws regarding the various boards authorities are complex and not as cut-and-dry as you are making this out to be. They followed the law and the standard business practices regarding contracts. That is how big business is done.

You Visa/MasterCard may have benefits if you use their site. American Express has a dedicated team that will do this for you for free if you are a platinum card holder. Most auto clubs have the same service but may charge a fee (I have always had to show my AAA card when I check in to get the AAA rate).

If someone qualifies, there are jobs out there. Get the training and find another job. Move to another state. Do anything to make it better. That is the free market place. That's what we're told. -
True. The same is true with insurance groups, too. A good PCP will still refer the best even when outside the system.

You seem to be very defensive when someone challenges your prejudices and temper tantrums. I think the warnings I got from people on here about you were probably far fetched. Now, not so much. -
^^^THIS^^^ Finally someone who understands what a Total Person Practice means. Wellstar and other systems have been moving to this model for years, after seeing it work in other parts of the world for decades. More and more PCP are utilizing this model. If somebody's PCP is not using this approach, it is time to change PCP because the one you have is in the Dark Ages medically speaking.

Never mind. You simply won't be able to understand it. You're right. It is a tax. It is unconstitutional. It is all a conspiracy. Obama is socialist Muslim who wants to destroy America. He hates all white people, too. You're absolutely right. -

$800 per month for family coverage is really good. One ER visit - even a simple one - and you're looking at 3 times more than what you paid in. The free market prices it, not the government. Most family coverage is over $1000 a month. -

Erickson is a propagandist. No one seriously doubts that statement. There was a national referendum on AHA since Romney made it the centerpiece of his campaign. I'm a liberal? The GOP would be very surprised to know that. -
Right. That is why people should utilize the PCP as a quarterback of the entire process. The PCP paradigm has already moved to the "Total Person" in the rest of the world, and in parts of the US. It is just now coming to the Southern US. The new paradigm is where the PCP has several doctors on staff, in various disciplines, counselors, insurance specialists, legal help, social services coordinators, and even concierges who make sure the obvious is not overlooked in the care the patient receives. Lyme Disease is just now getting the serious look it deserves and the PCP offices that are doing th

No reason to attack the person. -
Then you need to switch PCP. The office should have the list of approved physicians. I've always gotten several referrals names, same day, and the office always verified with my insurance company AND the doctor to whom the referral was for.

Who is attacking the person? Erickson was your source. No one takes him seriously as a source. The court ruled Congress had a the ability to pass AHA under the taxing authority. Lower courts are ruling every week that the AHA is holding up from the challenges. It is the law of the land. There was a court case. There was a national referendum and Romney lost. Time to accept it.
