  1. LOL - I used the can chicken once, too. YUCK! Never again. I will boil chicken breasts, pick up a rotissorie and pick the bone, or sometimes I have some already cooked chicken in the freezer if a whole chicken was on sale. No - I don't cook the bottom crust prior. I wouldn't say the crust is still frozen when it goes in the oven since the dough defrosts so fast, but it's pretty close to it. Oh, and I gave this recipe to my mom, and she uses cream of mushroom with hers. I guess it's just a matter of which you like better.
  2. I've got a super easy one. Two 2 packs of ready made pie shells in the pan, 1 deep dish & 1 regular 1 to 1 1/4lbs cooked chicken breast cut into bite size pcs. 1 can of cream of chicken soup 4-6oz of sour cream (I really don't measure this, so give or take a bit) 3/4 c. frozen mixed veggies (think frozen Veg-all) - keep frozen 1/4 c. parm. cheese Salt, to taste Pepper, to taste Onion powder, to taste Mix all together, and divide evenly between the two deep dish crusts. Top with reg. crust, and peice "steam holes" in the top. Bake at 375 until top is golden br
  3. I thought it was a joke at first! Maybe they are having a problem with their people not putting the condiments and silverware in the bags or something... that is crazy.
  4. I love scary movies - esp. this time of year. All Halloween movies All Friday the 13th movies All Nightmare on Elm Street movies Saw I-III Pumpkinhead scared me to death when I was a kid Pretty much all of them, but I am partial to the 80s horro films. There is only one I can't watch - Hostel. That is so scary and gross. I tried to watch it with my dad when I was 27. I covered my eyes and would peek through my fingers to make sure it was okay to look again. Daddy got a kick out of that.
  5. Thems hillbillies make me skeered, too.

    CODE RED

    What is a "Code Red"?
  9. No one remembers this one? This is one of the greatest movies of all time!
  10. "Don't write this down, but I find Milton probably as boring as you find Milton. Mrs. Milton found him boring too. He's a little bit long-winded, he doesn't translate very well into our generation, and his jokes are terrible."
  11. I know this one! The Breakfast Club One of my favoritest movies ever!
  12. LOL It was driving me nuts, too. Mr B couldn't remember either so I googled it. I LOVE Jack N. in that movie!!
  13. Funny this thread is here. I just watched The Kite Runner. Cried thru the whole thing. Others that get me everytime: Steel Magnolias, Million Dollar Baby, and another one I can't think of the name of. It has Shirly McLaine & Debra Winger, and Debra Winger's husband leaves her... What is that? The husband. Is Jeff Daniels I think. Oh, and Radio. Just remembered the movie: Terms of Enderment. I lose it everytime Shirly loses it at the nurses station.
  14. I have a story, but it didn't happen in Paulding, but I'd still like to share if y'all don't mind I was very close to both of my grandfathers when I was growing up. When I was 15, my dad's father suddenly passed away early in the morning of New's Day, 1996. I was devistated. He always was so fun & loving, and he ALWAYS smelled like Paul Sebastian cologne. I loved that smell. It was a massive heart attack and completely unexpected. The night before I woke up from a nightmare in which all of my family was surrounding a bed with a person covered with a white sheet. Everyone was there:
  15. Too funny! Yeah, I guess he could have!
  16. The one at Golden Gate is not a buffett. It's more like a deli. I had posted Golden Nugget, then realized that I really meant Golden Gate. Sorry for the confusion! The one at GG is yummy. But, I didn't try the $0.99 shrimp cocktail - I couldn't bring myself to. My husband had it and it was actually pretty big - they serve it in an icecream sunday glass. He ate it, said it was really good, and he was fine. I guess I was worried about that whole "ya get what ya pay for thing."
  17. Yep. I couldn't agree with you more. My husband & I will def. be there more now. We love the atmosphere of the place.
  18. Try the fish tacos - delish! As far as the strip goes, we are the same way. That's why we stayed at the Hard Rock. Off the main strip, and has a great pool! Nice hotel, too.
  19. Bad name, great food! I started to suggest a certain dish that is my fav, but due to the name of the place, I decided not to name it. LOL I love the old part of the strip, down where the Golden Nugget is. The ceilings are all really low, and it makes me think of the old gangster movies & Bugsy Segall. Lucky you - getting free rooms! That deli may be in Golden Gate (is that right?) if not the Golden Nugget.... too many "Goldens"!
  20. My husband I went this past April. We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel - we love it there! The pool is great. It's not right on the strip, but if you go over that way eat at the Pink Taco in Hard Rock. It is soooo good. Also, we saw Cher. It was awesome. My hubbs cannot stand Cher, but he went anyway since the tix were a gift, and he had a blast. She puts on a great show. For a late night bargin meal, there is a deli in the Golden Nugget (I think) in the old part of the strip that is really good. The locals (cab drivers, etc. told us about it. Finally had a cab driver take us there af
  21. Love Briar Patch & Rodneys on 92 for BBQ! And for sushi we love Fuji Sushi, & Tequila for Mexican.
